Wedding Hair & Makeup in Silver Spring

Sarina at Salon EFX is my normal hairdresse,r so I knew I would want my whole bridal party to get their updos at the salon as well. Everyone was thrilled with the results! Salon EFX is affordable, but all of the hairdressers are very experienced and able to work with all types of hair and all kinds of requests. I highly recommend Salon EFX for both haircut/color services as well as special event updos and blowouts! (P.S. They are in Silver Spring/Hillandale, not Hyattsville).

Alexis operates as if she is your own personal stylist for the day. The time that she put in outside of my special day to support the vision was beyond what I expected. Her execution surpassed my desires. Please book with her, she is one to trust to support you on your special day.

Lori was one of my favorite vendors to work with for my wedding. Fun, professional and knowledgeable, she was able to work with a wide variety of ladies in my bridal party (including two who don’t wear makeup), and all were satisfied with the results but also the process. Lori knows what she is doing, was flexible to work with and very knowledgeable and competent. Plus she made me look 10 years younger on my wedding day. A joy to work with, would highly recommend!

Bo does AMAZING Work! She managed to make my entire Bridal Party, to include the MOM's, look like we stepped out of a Fairytale. She was timely, friendly, and had a Great Since of Humor. Her eye is spot for creating unbelievable transformations and she is well-versed in her CRAFT. Her prices were economical, she was responsive, and she was very flexible. Bo really catered to my crew and made us all look BEAUTIFUL on my special day. Say YES!

Jasmine's customer service and skills were superb. We did a trial-run of my makeup to determine the color palette prior to the wedding. She was open to dialog about what I envisioned and made suggestions based on my skin and wedding colors. She was both knowledgeable and patient. On the day of the wedding, she arrived even before my bridesmaids and I! She was ready to go. She completed each of their makeup in the time allotted and everyone felt and looked beautiful. In fact, after seeing our makeup other wedding attendees began requesting if they could come into the bridal suite to get theirs done as well! My makeup was flawless and she was on hand prior to the pictures and periodically throughout the evening for touch-ups. I would highly recommend her. Her professionalism and talent in large part contributed to how wonderful my wedding was and how beautiful I felt..

I first met Maisie at her spa for my image profile and to choose my cosmetics. She was very pleasant and professional. Her spa is also very lovely. I don't wear a lot of make up so I wanted a natural look for my wedding on 4/13/13. Maisie herself was not available that day but we got two of her makeup artists Chelsea and Vernita and they did an excellent job. All the ladies, bridesmaids, my mommy and myself looked gorgeous! Some of the girls and I had sensitive skin so we used our own foundation and it turned out well. I don't use makeup artists on a regular basis so I thought the cost was high and it was more than I hoped to spend. Nonetheless, if you want great service and to look gorgeous, this is where you should go.

Carla did my makeup, my two bridesmaids and my mom's makeup. She did an amazing job and really made us feel comfortable with her. She was also very flexible because I had to have her move from our suite to the site so my photographer could take photos. On top of which, her prices were super reasonable and though she's not the best on email, she delivered on the day. Highly recommend working with her.

Myla was very deliberate during our trial, so I felt comfortable and confident about what we were doing on the day of! She was also incredible flexible and tolerant with respect to me not feeling well on the actual wedding day. Overall, she was not only great at what she did, but she was super fun to be around. My mom and mother-in-law also got their make-up done, and my mom is often fearful that it will be heavy-handed. It was perfect and age-appropriate! Finally, I would add, that it took a tad longer than we had it scheduled for, so definitely don't short-change on the time allotted!
