Wedding Hair & Makeup in Bethesda

I reached out to Tani because I had severe eczema and TSW, and I wanted someone who could relate and take care of my skin on my special day. She went above and beyond to address my needs and assured me with constant communication. Nomeda spent so much time on my hair, didn’t charge me for extensions, and was so flexible with me changing my hair day-of. Angenae did a great job with my girls’ hair. This team is kind, professional, and VERY efficient. They did 18 services in 5 hours! Incredible!!

Gonzalo had quite a challenge: choreograph 2 dances ( father/daughter and bride/groom) — one to Motown songs, one to country— and teach it to 3 dancers (bride a natural dancer — men not so much).... He was amazing!! In just a few hours G taught them steps, choreographed the dances, and made it all so much fun! Most importantly, Gonzalo gave them the confidence to actually enjoy those first dances. Our daughter even commented that of all the many , many pre-wedding elements, the lessons at Dushor really made the wedding for them. So happy we did this!

Booking with Bella Bethesda was an easy process in a soothing venue with really expert-level results. My wife and I don’t usually wear makeup, which meant we were bound to feel a little uncomfortable, but Beca and Kal made us feel relaxed, excited, and also just like glamorous glowing versions of ourselves. I didn’t know what to expect, but I loved my hair and makeup and they lasted all day and night through veil going on and off, intense DC humidity, eating and drinking, and tons of dancing!

Whatever you do, hire Jennifer to do your makeup! The makeup lasted literally ALL DAY LONG and through all of the elements. From me dripping sweat down my face during the ceremony to dancing all night on the dance floor to a champagne sendoff where I was blasted in the face by champagne, the makeup lasted from 10am to 2am and still looked perfect! Everyone looked beautiful from me to the moms, to the sister-in-law to the wedding party. Thanks Jennifer!

Kelli did my make up for my wedding and I cannot stop raving about it. She made me feel like a beautiful princess and it lasted all day long through dancing and crying . She is very knowledgeable about her products and helped me to relax on my day. I am so grateful that I found her for my day. She is honest and tells you exactly what you need to hear and makes you feel like you have know her for years! Definitely,definitely, recommend her services!

I went to Suzanna at Aveda for my wedding to have my hair done and I was so pleased with the result. A bridesmaid and the Mother of the Groom also had their hair done by Suzanna as well. She did a great job managing time and we were able to be done an hour earlier than expected. She communicated with me very well up until the big day and was very flexible with scheduling changes.

I cannot say enough about the Shop! Jennifer Orendi was AMAZING to work with. From our first consultation to the day of the wedding, Jen listened to me and got to know me very well. She absolutely nailed my wedding look, and I was not even sure exactly what I wanted. She gauged my personality and ran with it, and I felt incredible about my hair and makeup. Jen also did my bridesmaids' hair and everyone was extremely satisfied. The Shop and Jen were flexible and made themselves available to work on my schedule that day, and were even willing to open the shop up early to accommodate us. I am also a regular client of the shop (see Ian for an amazing cut if you have curly hair!) and would recommend this shop to anyone!

Lauren was literally the first vendor I booked once I figured out my wedding date and location. I couldn't imagine working with anyone else to make me picture perfect for my big day and highly recommend her to any bride in the DMV! I've known Lauren for years and she was the makeup artist for all of my closest friends who got married in the area so I couldn't wait to have her do my bridal look when it was finally my turn to get hitched. Lauren is very professional and warm and she did an amazing job on my makeup as well as for my mom, MIL, and a few of my bridesmaids. She has perfected the art of elegant, timeless make up that plays up your natural beauty. Lauren did my makeup for my engagement party, bridal shower, wedding, as well as when I was a bridesmaid in my friends' weddings. For my big day, I had on the longest most dramatic lashes I've ever worn and yet Lauren was able to make my whole look so natural that I never felt overdone. I wish I could have Lauren do my makeup everyday but at least I can look back at my wedding photos and admire her flawless work :) My advice to all future brides is to hire Lauren immediately before she gets booked up!

Violetta was amazing throughout my entire experience of hair and makeup trials, and always responded in a prompt manner. We last minute switched my hair style up completely, and although Violetta could not be there herself on my wedding day, the rest of her team did an absolutely amazing job executing exactly what I envisioned. My bridesmaids all loved their hair and makeup too, not one single complaint. I would recommend anyone use VZhair for their wedding!
