Wedding Hair & Makeup in Laurel

I have been going to Hair Cuttery for about 2 years now. They do good work for a low price. I was scared to get my hair cut for the first time and they made it very easy for me. It didn't cost much.

I had such a good experience having Christy do my bridal hair and makeup. She really helped to calm my nerves and to trust in her. I ended up doing two trials with her, because I was really unsure of what I wanted. She even came to me to do my trial! She walked me through the whole process and encouraged me that the final look would be smoother on the day of because she would use more product. I liked that I did not need to have a minimum service count in order to book her. My wedding day was pretty hot, but my makeup and hair lasted through the whole event- there was even some drizzling at the end of our reception, but it all stayed! This picture was taken in drizzle. My makeup felt lightweight, like I wasn't wearing anything. My sister, who does not wear makeup, said the same thing. I would definitely recommend using Christy!

This salon is amazing! The morning of my wedding my mom, 5 bridesmaids, and I got our hair and make up done at the salon. We each left looking absolutely perfect. We were the only people in the salon and had 5 stylists and a make up artist working on us to get us out in just over two hours. The wedding coordinator, MJ, was extremely helpful throughout the planning process from scheduling trials to offering advice for timing, services needed, etc. Michele did my hair and it was absolutely GORGEOUS. People are still talking about how unique and beautiful my hair was. She was extremely flexible and knowledgeable throughout the process and even offered a second trial when I decided at the last minute I may want a different hair style. We were extremely pleased with this salon and would definitely highly recommend their services to anyone!

Best experience ever...I truly felt like a princess on my wedding day. Victoria is very professional and works great under pressure and on a short time line. She did all three of my bridesmaids make-up along with their hair. She also spruced up my mother (make up) and the flower girl (hair). Everyone talked about how they loved our hair and it fit with the theme of the wedding not to mention how beautiful our make-up was. Thanks again Victoria for the make-overs!

I had already used Monica several times for previous events so naturally I booked her for my wedding. She did the makeup for my entire bridal party including my mother. I looked absolutely beautiful in my photos, which, in my opinion is the most important part of the day, as they're all that's left once the big day is over!

Linda was amazing! I know nothing about makeup and she took the time during my makeup trial to explain what everything is and why she was using it. She is very knowledgeable. I had a general idea of what I wanted (natural, not too over the top), and she started out with a light version and let me see what that looked like. I decided I would like a more dramatic version since it's an evening wedding. She accented the eyes a little more and the look was perfect! I felt so beautiful and feminine. She traveled for the wedding and was a trooper getting make up done for 5 people.

Ayla is such a natural. Her henna art is so effortlessly beautiful and ornate and she does it SO fast! And she is the biggest sweetheart you'll ever meet.

Tunisha, AKA Blacklilly, did an OUTSTANDING job on my wedding day, July 22, 2017. I had the pleasure of working with her in 2016 when I had costume party for my 40th birthday, she did an AMAZING job on my Cleopatra themed makeup, I LOVED IT! I knew then I was going to book her for my Gatsby-themed wedding in 2017. From our very first meeting a few years back in 2013 to my wedding day, she was absolutely wonderful to work with - talented, professional, responsive, fun and easy-going! She was also extremely flexible as I confirmed my day-of schedule, allowing me to adjust as necessary. She asks you what make up you usually wear, asks you for pinterest images of make up you like, makes you a better version of self both at the trial and the day of, and always checks in to see if you like or not or if want less or more. I had an extremely large wedding party(14 ladies) and she stepped up and showed out! Our wedding was held in my home state of PA and we all live in Maryland. She came into town the evening before and was up and ready to go by 6AM. She arrived on time, prepared, and started working. She is very talented and passionate at what she does. She made my Bride Tribe look beautiful while enhancing their individual beauty while maintaining a cohesive 1920s look! She makes you look gorgeous without caking on pounds of makeup. Not only did the makeup look great in pictures but it lasted for the entire day and night. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. During my trial and wedding day her enthusiasm and personality made the morning fun and completely stress-free. When I sat down to get my makeup done, she put me completely at ease - we laughed and chatted the entire time. She is an incredibly sweet person with a very calming presence. On what can be a stressful day, it was wonderful to have someone who was so happy, relaxed, & attentive around. I would highly highly recommend her!
