Sandra Jensen-Taubman is a Chevy Chase, Maryland based photographer with an academic background in environmental science and human pathology. Inspired by the works of Edward Weston and Imogen Cunningham, Sandra began photographic studies through the Corcoran College of Art and Design at VisArts in Rockville, Maryland. Her work is based on the practice of contemplative photography to promote mindfulness, awareness and a sense of calm that exists within each of us but is often covered up by thoughts and emotion.
Examples of her work have been on exhibit throughout the Washington D.C. area at restaurant venues in Dupont Circle, Lombardi Cancer Center’s Gallery at Georgetown University, the Edison Place Gallery, and Bethesda’s GalleryB.
