For an easy way to add an unexpected element to your wedding decor, choose flowers with unique shapes and exotic textures. Here are ten of our very favorites!
Ginger Flower: With their densely-packed tiers of vibrant pink petals, these striking tropical herb flowers resemble colorful pinecones. The large, husky blooms are true showstoppers and blend perfectly with bright, bold decor.

Bird of Paradise: This vivid orange and blue flower resembles the tropical bird of the same name. Its jagged texture is perfect for modern, exotic looking arrangements.

Cockscomb: These velvety, rippled plant blossoms will bring some serious texture to your floral arrangements. They are most commonly found in vivid red, but are also available in pinks, yellows, and oranges.

Pompon Dahlia: These little globes of tightly cupped petals are so fun and playful! Like other dahlia varieties, they add instant texture and dimension to any floral arrangement. We also love to see them displayed individually, whether in bud vases or on boutonnieres.

Bells of Ireland: Contrary to what its name suggests, this green summer flower is actually native to the Mediterranean. The tall blossoming shoots are said to symbolize good luck.

Anthurium: These big, waxy “flamingo flowers” hail from Hawaii, making them a perfectly appropriate pick for a tropical island wedding. They’re available in pink, green, red, and white.
