It depends if it is a weekday or holiday, in which case you would need more time. But, about 8 weeks ahead is a good rule of thumb.

6 - 8 weeks. any longer than that and the guests forget or it will be hard to get the RSVP's in a timely manner.

Lisa G. That is great advice!! I have so many brides who are anxious to get their invites out too far in advance. 6-8 weeks is definitely plently of time!

maybe after jan 1. so it won't get lost with the holiday shuffle....or before dec 1? if you have an A list and B list, then send it out earlier.
