The cake tasted amazing. We went with neapolitan which is not traditional but fun.

The cake was beautiful but looked like it was frozen and then they didn't let it defrost enough because at the reception it was leaning. Also everyone said it tasted old and really dry. I called and complained and I was told the owner would contact me and send me something in the mail. I have been married two weeks now and have not heard from the owner or received anything in the mail. We went with Kat's because we expected amazing cake. It was really expensive for what we got. We were very disappointed.

I have purchased several cakes from Kat's from bridal Showers to Baby shower, I think they do wonderful work and I really appreciate the from scratch baking they do. I can tell that their products are fresh because it doesn't have that "chemical" aftertast that so many large store bakeries have. My family grew up on the taste of fresh food and I am very sensitive to the taste boxes and chemicals. I really love their red velvet, WOW is that good especially when topped with the creamcheese frosting. My second favorite is the white cake it is soft, sweet and delicious, we have eaten them for days after we buy them, (because we buy more than we need and we count on having the leftovers). I wish this little shop had longer hours so that I could run in there after wook and grab some cupcakes for my last minute diners.

I had a 7 tier cup cake stand, and ordered 150 cupcakes and a top cake for my husband and me to cut into. The cake and cupcakes were really yummy, but the cupcakes looked aweful. i would have been beter going to safeway or something, because the frosting on top looked like it was rushed and just plopped on top. The frosting wasn't even centered and didn't cover the whole top of the cupcakes like we had discussed. Three days before the wedding they call me and let me know the wrappers for the cupcakes I ordered are out of stock (even though I ordered them over a year in advance). They knew my wedding was coming up so they should have stocked up on them. The next day they called and told me they now have the cupcake wrapers. To find out ON MY WEDDING DAY they didn't have enough and just did half in the color I wanted and half in silver. They didn't even let us know they were doing this. The top cake was BEAUTIFUL! I think Kat's cakes is for you brides who want cakes, not for cupcakes, they were really aweful looking and had two different color wrappers. Just stress you really don't need before your wedding.

They made an absolutely beautiful wedding cake!! It was delicious! Even though we ended up having more cake than we needed, most of it was gone by the end of the night because everyone wanted more!

The cake was absolutely phenomenal. It was the one thing about the wedding that turned out exactly as I envisioned. It was delicious, a banana spice flavor with fresh banana slice filling, and some lemon cupcakes with lemon gel centers to keep the kids' hands out of the cake (worked like a charm!). They were so helpful and thorough in the consultation, and really made sure they understood what we wanted, and provided us with delectable tasting cakes (we got to keep the leftovers!). People are still talking about our great cake. I can give them no higher recommendation.

Taste the cake before you get it - the frosting was way too buttery for me. Other than that, Kat's was great - they did what I asked for (even though it didn't come out how I had it in my head, but it was what I asked for), they were responsive, great to work with, and even make custom decorations on the cake for us. Their prices are about the going rate for cakes, and they include a free one year anniversary cake which is great!
