Something Sweet Bakery did our wedding cake in October 2023. Prior to choosing this bakery for our wedding cake, we had tried other places in Sacramento since we live up in that area. Something Sweet Bakery by far had the most moist cake and the best customer service. All the other bakeries we had tried in Sacramento did not do any one on one tastings. Here at Something Sweet Bakery you can book a tasting ahead of time, try all the types of flavors, and most importantly discuss your vision for your cake. I want to reiterate that they had the MOST moist cake out of all the other bakeries we had tried. I also had them do cupcakes for my husband for rehearsal dinner with our dogs faces on them. They were adorable! The fact that I was willing to get my desserts and wedding cake in Galt instead of Sacramento is enough proof that this is the bakery of choice for wedding cakes. You will NOT be disappointed.

Desta was Amazing! We met with her for our wedding cake consultation. I told her a little bit of my idea and she took it from there... and WOW. Our cake and dessert bar was amazing.... and YES they can do a dessert bar. Our guests were blown away by the amazing desserts. We cant thank you enough for adding your special touch to our wedding day!!

You took our dream and vision and made it an even better reality- and extremely delectable one!! The staff at Something Sweet is as sweet as their name and are so kind and caring. We looked at many cake vendors and none of them compared in quality, texture, display, or price!! They helped us stick to our budget and stay WAY under it. We will be getting all of our birthday cakes, cupcakes, and other sweets from Something Sweet from here on out. We would give you 10 out of 5 stars if we could!!! We get compliments on how delicious and cute/tailored to us our cake was all the time!! Thanks a million!!!

Desta and her team were above and beyond amazing!!! My husband and I grew up loving films made by Studio Ghibli and knew we wanted to try and incorporate them into our wedding but had no idea what to do when it came to our cake. It only took one consultation with Desta for her to sketch out our cupcake tower and add in all our favorite characters to make it look beautiful!!! She even gave really good ideas on how to play the cake stand and wrappers into the theme so it all would go together perfectly. All of our guests LOVED the flavor combinations we came up with, there wasn't a single cupcake or slice of cake left! I am so glad we went with Something Sweet! Hands down the BEST choice and would recommend them to anyone for any occasion!

Oh my flipping gosh. Desta and her crew are amazing. AMAZING. We came in with a couple pictures, virtually no idea how to actually pull off our dream cake and Desta did it. She did it and more. The cake was delicious. We put together a super yummy spin on a Black Forest Cake and a Pink Champagne cake. (We had two cakes, one pretty and one sheet cake hiding in the back to feed all 135 of our peeps) Do not even consider going anywhere else. Desta will make your dreams come true.

"OH MY GOSH" is the comment I got all night regarding our wedding cake! From the amazing design to the flavor the team at Something Sweet Bakery killed it! I could not get over the design that we came up with when we had our tasting to seeing it in real life! It was amazing! The team was able to make the front of the cake look like an amazing 1920s themed wedding cake and the back be a groom's cake. The back of the cake they were able to make an editable version of my now husband's bronco crawling over some rocks and flinging mud! The cake was the talk of the night! If you are looking for not only a great looking cake, but also hands down the best tasting cake call Something Sweet Bakery! They will not disappoint you!!

I hired Something Sweet Bakery for my wedding and it was great! They let us design our own cake (look, frosting, cake flavors, cream, etc.) at our first appointment where we did an extensive tasting and mixed and matched various toppings, frostings, cakes, etc. We had a 4 tier cake and had two very different cake types (red velvet and pink champagne) in order to get a good variety. The baker provided a lot of good suggestions and knowledge about how to choose our cake. The cake on the final day was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. We had it topped with fresh flowers, and she worked very well with our florist to accomplish a beautifully decorated cake. Our guests said the cake was so delicious, and we actually kept eating our leftovers for the next week it was so good! I would definitely recommend Something Sweet Bakery to anyone looking for a quality cake for a wedding or any other special event.

This bakery is amazing! We had a theme inspired wedding and they went above and beyond with the cake. It was even better than our vision! It was so soft and moist and tasted amazing!!
