The cake was great! I love D'Amici's. It's definately the best bakery in the North Shore (if not in the entire MA)!!! Thanks for a great cake!!!

I searched far and wide for a cake baker who would make us a chocolate cake with peanut butter ganache filling. Surprisingly, this was difficult, as many local bakeries have gone "nut free" and others wanted $1200+ for a cake that would feed 200 people. I gave D'Amici's a picture of a cake that I liked; for $800, I got a four-tier cake that looked EXACTLY the way I wanted... and it was delicious! Plus, when I went to the cake tasting, they sent me home with a box of complimentary cake samples - and another box for my mom, who couldn't make it to the tasting!

I didn't know what to expect when it came time for cake tasting. D'Amici's actually doesn't hold cake tastings in the bakery. They have pre-made boxes with a variety of cakes and fillings in their freezer. You go in, ask for a tasting box, and go home to let it defrost. It was not what I expected, but the cake was delicious! They were also very flexible and accomodating with the design concept we had in mind, and the cake came out beautiful. And it tasted SO good! My videographer caught me on tape, twice, saying to friends at the wedding "That's good cake!" :-) My husband and I are very much looking forward to our one year anniversary so we can eat it again!
