Dessert Works is a wedding bakery located in Westwood, Massachusetts. Kristen Repa, the owner and head pastry chef, uses natural, high-quality ingredients with no artificial flavoring to craft personalized cakes for a couple's celebration. Specializing in European torte-style cakes finished in vanilla meringue buttercream frosting, Kristen works with couples to design cakes that coordinate with a couple's colors, theme, and wedding look. Kristen and her team are also skilled in frosting and design, offering buttercream flowers, fresh flowers, rolled chocolate, and their signature handmade chocolate butterflies.
Kristen Repa worked at Konditor Meister Bakery and Ritz Carlton Boston before traveling to Vienna, Austria to receive additional culinary arts training. She also worked as the pastry chef at The Catered Affair in Hingham, Massachusetts, where she created cakes and desserts for some notable celebrities, such as President Bill Clinton, Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, and the Kennedy family. Kristen founded Dessert Works in 2001 with her husband and business partner, Leonardo Savona.
Dessert Works provides custom layer cakes in a variety of flavors, as well as a wide selection of other wedding desserts, including cake pops, cookies, croquembouche, cupcakes, mini pastries, grooms' cakes, tarts, cheesecakes, bars, and dessert buffets. Best of the best
Dessert works is the best. I had another bakery booked and one of my bridesmaids knew about them and had a red velvet cake for my bridal shower and it was so delicious that I cancelled my current bakery and booked with them. If that’s not enough - I threw a birthday party for my mom a month later so I could have the cake again. It’s an addiction. So the cake is definitely delicious but on top of that I sent a Pinterest picture of a cake with all kinds of rope embellishment which they had not done before. They spent what seems like a lot of time figuring out the perfect way to master the rope look and reassured me that they could do it.... and wow were they right is all I can say. It looked better than the picture. Book dessert works before they run out of cake because I can’t stop eating it.Sent on 11/11/2018

Perfect Wedding Cake
We chose Dessert Works to bake our wedding cake after an online search. Their website showed a vast array of gorgeous cakes and offered endless options of flavor combinations and decoration. We then met with Jacqueline for a beautifully arranged tasting and selected a mini 3-tier - vanilla layers with chocolate mousse filling and Italian meringue frosting, decorated to our specs.
