Rabbi Ken Hahn
15 Reviews | Boston, MA
Hi All - Thanks for checking out my profile. I am an independent rabbi who believes very deeply that Judaism should be engaging and accessible for everyone, and that definitely applies to planning a wedding. Whether you are two Jews who want to marry, an interfaith couple or a couple for whom religion plays little or no role whatsoever, I would love to explain what goes on in a Jewish wedding ceremony (before, during and after) and let you decide what if anything from the Jewish traditions you would like to use. I think you'll find there's a lot of great stuff there. As far as the common questions are concerned, I am obviously very happy to do interfaith weddings (or non-denominational weddings) in the venue of your choosing, co-officiated or not with someone from another faith tradition. I will officiate at weddings on Friday nights and Saturdays if that's your need and I work with people who identify in any way whatsoever. I will travel and have done many destination weddings.

Kezia Bacon, Wedding Celebrant
92 Reviews | Marshfield, MA
Kezia Bacon became a Certified Lifecycle Celebrant because she loves helping people honor and celebrate the milestones in their lives. She has extensive training in writing and performing creative, meaningful, personalized ceremonies, with a specialty in weddings. Kezia was certified by the Celebrant Foundation & Institute in 2010, and earned her licensure as a Massachusetts wedding officiant and non-denominational minister. She officiates weddings across all of Massachusetts, including Greater Boston, the North Shore, the South Shore and South Coast, Cape Cod and Central Massachusetts, and throughout New England. Kezia says, “My goal is to create a ceremony that is relevant to you, a ceremony that truly reflects who you are. It’s all about what you want, what suits you, what represents your beliefs and values -- whether it’s formal or informal; traditional, alternative or multicultural; religious, secular, interfaith, or spiritual-but-not-religious. We work together to make it happen. And there are no surprises. You get to sign off on every single word.” For weddings ceremonies, Kezia offers several different types/lengths. Her standard Custom Personalized Ceremony is 30 minutes, but for those working with smaller budgets and/or time constraints, she also offers the Simple Personalized Ceremony (15-20 min) the Quick Ceremony (5-10 minutes) and even a Simple License Signing (2 minutes). Please inquire about rates, as they vary considerably. Local beach weddings are most often "Simple" or "Quick." Telling a couple’s love story – it’s Kezia's favorite thing about performing wedding ceremonies. It brings everyone in the room together, and makes them feel closer to the couple. And the story is so important – it’s what the couple has already been telling their friends and families, the one that will be passed down through the generations. As a professional writer, Kezia has extensive experience putting words together and making them flow. As a Kripalu yoga teacher, she brings a much-welcomed sense of calm to the sometimes unsettling process of planning a wedding. She is also available for Vow Renewals, Baby Blessings and Child Welcoming Ceremonies. Kezia (pronounced Kee-za) lives in Marshfield, Massachusetts with her 11-year-old son. She is an avid fan of music, film and literature, and spends as much time as she can outdoors.

A Wedding By Jeff

Just a bit about me: I Do Service All of Massachusetts to perform Secular and Non-Secular, Same Sex, Baby Naming, and Renewal of Marriage Vows.. I am a Notary as well. I love working with my couples to make their ceremony meaningful and reflection of their love for each other. When I work with my couples I personalize my ceremonies just for them. Meaning, when we first meet, I listen and ask questions about your meeting, what you share, and the uniqueness between you. This is a very important time which I use when writing the ceremony. I do work from a template that has just about all of the traditional wedding components in which we can edit and incorporate readings, vows, candle/sand ceremony, ring and pronouncement. Although we would work from a template, all the wording is written to your desire and no one ceremony is the same for another. When we are done finalizing the ceremony, it will be completely outlined and choreographed from guest seating to receiving line including your music selections as well as photo opportunities. If you have readings included in your ceremony, I would be delighted to work with your readers as well to help write the perfect reading for you. I also include in my service all communications, unlimited editing/revising of the ceremony, and writing material just for you. In addition, on the day of your wedding I typically arrive about an hour before your set time to marry so I can check in with you and your fiancé, ensure ceremony the site is setup the way you wanted it, meet your wedding party and involved vendors to again ensure we are in full communication and on the same page. With that, I have performed many wonderful ceremonies over the years in which my couples have been very comfortable with the process and I receive many compliments on how lovely the ceremony was received. I should mention that I used to be a wedding planner for over 10 years. I am very detailed and do know how to interface with your wedding planner and venue management should you have the need. If you are considering purchasing wedding invitations, save the dates and such, I do sell them and would be happy to help you select to ensure we have the message you want, coloration and the various components picked out. My website is www.justicejeff.com in which there is a link to the wedding invitations. Please feel free to contact me back at 508-887-3157 to chat or better yet setup a time in which we could become better acquainted.

You have decided to get married. How exciting! How thrilling! How romantic! How scary! How overwhelming! Having made this decision you now open a door to an array of decisions. It would be an honor and a privilege for me to help make your wedding day a wonderfully memorable experience. As your officiant I can help you put together a ceremony that reflects your individual personalities and provide a professional presence. Since 1982 I have been officiating weddings throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. My couples represent the very young to the more mature, first timers as well as those marrying again, same sex, interfaith, same background, diverse backgrounds, and renewals and commitments. Locations and venues include very formal to very relaxed……the shores of the Atlantic, the shores of Walden Pond, public parks, mansions, elegant hotels, very cozy inns, indoors or outdoors, and just about every other place in-between that a couple may find romantic or meaningful to them! I was even privileged to be able to jointly perform a ceremony at the Old South Church with a wonderful Minister from there! Getting married is a big step. I take the responsibility of helping you move into that next chapter of your lives very seriously. But it is also fun! I greatly look forward to learning more about the story of you two - please send me a message to get in touch!
