Cake Ann absolutely delivered, both on our wedding cake and our dessert table.

I had a very specific vision for our wedding cake which Cake Ann absolutely nailed. I sent them pictures of a very specific type of Turkish art called Ebru and they were able to transform that into our wedding cake. Inga worked with me because I wanted also a very specific type of American buttercream icing. My husband and I are frosting fanatics, and she accommodated us, sending us several different options to our home in California.

The dessert table was unreal. As happens with most brides, I didn't get to sample any of the dessert the night of my wedding, but my new husband boxed up everything and we had it the next morning before brunch. Even a day old everything was absolutely insane.Mini sticky toffee pudding, flourless chocolate cake, pumpkin caramel cheesecake, mini Key lime tarts, and pistachio, caramel and vanilla macaroons. I worked with Inga before the wedding for this amazing custom array, suited to our tastes.

Our experience with Cake Anne in Gloucester, MA, was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we discussed our vision, Inga and her team were attentive, creative, and dedicated to making our cake a true masterpiece. For our special event, we chose a 2-tier cutting cake that was nothing short of spectacular. The peacock teal fondant with baroque-style gold detailing made it a stunning centerpiece that wowed our guests. The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful, with every bite offering a burst of fresh, balanced flavors. We also had a 10" "sheet" cake for the larger event, which was equally impressive, rich, moist, and incredibly decadent. What truly set Cake Anne apart was their personalized approach. They invited us for an in-person cake tasting, tailored to our preferences, making it a special experience. They even created a custom flavor for us and provided a video outlining design decisions, ensuring every detail was perfect. Many other places offered preset tasting boxes or had us take cake home, which didn't feel special. Cake Anne made sure the tasting was memorable and even matched the cake color to our teal swatch. We can't thank Inga and her team enough for their hard work and dedication. If you're looking for a cake that combines beauty, flavor, and a personal touch, Cake Anne is the way to go. Cake Ann helped make our vision come true with a delicious cake! It was simple like we requested but beautiful. The flavors (espresso and champagne) were utter perfection!

We hired Cake Ann for our wedding in Gloucester in July 2023. They were accommodating to dietary restrictions (gluten) and made a beautiful GF cutting cake, in addition to two separate flavors of hydrangea styled cupcakes for our guests. We chose Cake Ann for our wedding cake and it was the best decision we could have made! The cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing, we were able to do a cake tasting to choose what flavors we wanted and we decided to go with the chocolate peanut butter and the chocolate caramel and both were amazing! We would highly recommend using them for any event but especially for your wedding you will not be disappointed! We worked with Cake Ann for a groom's cake for our daughter's wedding. We worked with Inga who was very helpful and made excellent recommendations. The cake was delivered on time and it was beautiful. I appreciated Cake Ann's attention to details with flowers and other nice touches. It also tasted great! Cake Ann is a hidden gem, and we could not be happier that we found them for our wedding-day desserts!

We had a 3-tiered, 2-flavor cake and dozens of macarons, which were all so delicious and at a much more affordable price point than any other bakery in the area. They worked with us to pick macaron flavors that were all in the color family of our wedding florals, and they were so responsive to the details we wanted for our wedding cake.

From our tasting appointment to our wedding day, working with Cake Ann was a wonderful experience. After asking many questions about my dessert preferences and what I envisioned for our wedding day, Inga served me at least 4 difference generous slices of cake and several different macarons, without any charge, in comparison to the $50 charge for tastings that most other Boston/North Shore bakeries charge. On top of that, she sent me home with a box full of cake slices and macarons for my husband to try, as he had been unable to come with me to the tasting. Any communication that we had with Cake Ann throughout our planning process was very prompt and easy.

Our guests completely devoured the cake and macarons at our wedding, and we are already looking forward to ordering another Cake Ann cake for our one-year anniversary! We highly recommend Cake Ann to anyone looking for a bakery for their wedding or any other special occasion.

Literally some of the best cake we’ve ever had! Cake Ann was so wonderful to work with and everything was truly incredible. We did cupcakes for guests to pair with an ice cream bar through a different vendor along with a cutting cake. We had leftovers but zero issues getting them eaten by people! Plus we’ve been enjoying every bite of the cutting cake we took home. Can’t recommend them enough!

We could not recommend Inga and the entire Cake Ann crew more. Delivered in perfect condition and on time. The cake was a huge hit and the remainder was served at brunch the next day! The confetti and Oreo cake was loved by everyone and not one piece of cake remained. Thank you!
