We hired Cake Ann for our wedding in Gloucester in July 2023. They were accommodating to dietary restrictions (gluten) and made a beautiful GF cutting cake, in addition to two separate flavors of hydrangea styled cupcakes for our guests. Inga was very familiar with our venue [Cruiseport], which made planning easy and convenient. Thank you, Inga! -

The perfect wedding cake
We chose Cake Ann for our wedding cake and it was the best decision we could have made! The cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing, we were able to do a cake tasting to choose what flavors we wanted and we decided to go with the chocolate peanut butter and the chocolate caramel and both were amazing! We would highly recommend using them for any event but especially for your wedding you will not be disappointed! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the cake, and that's all we ever could have wanted for them! Thank you to everyone at cake Ann who baked us the perfect cake for our wedding! -

We worked with Cake Ann for a groom's cake for our daughter's wedding. We worked with Inga who was very helpful and made excellent recommendations. The cake was delivered on time and it was beautiful. I appreciated Cake Ann's attention to details with flowers and other nice touches. It also tasted great! I highly recommend including this vendor for your wedding. -

Literally some of the best cake we’ve ever had! Cake Ann was so wonderful to work with and everything was truly incredible. We did cupcakes for guests to pair with an ice cream bar through a different vendor along with a cutting cake. We had leftovers but zero issues getting them eaten by people! Plus we’ve been enjoying every bite of the cutting cake we took home. Can’t recommend them enough!Cake Ann's reply:

I cannot recommend Cake Ann highly enough! Inga and team were fantastic during the planning process - so easy to work with and guiding us with wonderful ideas to match our meal and theme. Cake Ann is a hidden gem, and we could not be happier that we found them for our wedding-day desserts!
We had a 3-tiered, 2-flavor cake and dozens of macarons, which were all so delicious and at a much more affordable price point than any other bakery in the area. They worked with us to pick macaron flavors that were all in the color family of our wedding florals, and they were so responsive to the details we wanted for our wedding cake.
From our tasting appointment to our wedding day, working with Cake Ann was a wonderful experience. After asking many questions about my dessert preferences and what I envisioned for our wedding day, Inga served me at least 4 difference generous slices of cake and several different macarons, without any charge, in comparison to the $50 charge for tastings that most other Boston/North Shore bakeries charge. On top of that, she sent me home with a box full of cake slices and macarons for my husband to try, as he had been unable to come with me to the tasting. Any communication that we had with Cake Ann throughout our planning process was very prompt and easy.
Our guests completely devoured the cake and macarons at our wedding, and we are already looking forward to ordering another Cake Ann cake for our one-year anniversary! We highly recommend Cake Ann to anyone looking for a bakery for their wedding or any other special occasion.

SUCH delicious cake!!
My husband really loves cake, and we both agreed Cake Ann makes some of the best cake we've ever tasted. This bakery was recommended by our venue in Rockport, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with our wedding cake! Inga was incredibly kind during our initial tasting, and encouraged us to pick not just one amazing flavor, but two! Chocolate cake with raspberry jam and chocolate ganache, and a vanilla cake with dulce de leche and caramel buttercream — both were insanely delicious! She also accommodated vegan & gluten free guests with cupcakes. We had to pospone our wedding date twice due to the pandemic, but Inga was flexible and understanding throughout. I cannot recommend Cake Ann highly enough!Cake Ann's reply:

We could not recommend Inga and the entire Cake Ann crew more. Delivered in perfect condition and on time. The cake was a huge hit and the remainder was served at brunch the next day! The confetti and Oreo cake was loved by everyone and not one piece of cake remained. Thank you! -

a breeze to work with
Inga was wonderful to work with. She provided one of my couples with a personal cake to cut and cupcakes for their dessert table. Inga was very communicative and flexible and made sure the couple's dessert would be nice and fresh for service. I will absolutely be recommending Cake Ann for future couples I work with! -

Inga did a dessert bar and a cutting cake for our wedding on 10/12/19. She was incredible to work with! We were not totally sure what kind of desserts we wanted at our wedding and during the tasting she got to know us and starting throwing out ideas of desserts she thought we would like and she nailed it completely!! After the tasting I did not have to worry about a single thing, she coordinated with the vendor and everything was taken care of. She was absolutely amazing!!! -

We used Cake Ann as our wedding cake baker for our wedding in September 2019. What really stood out to me about this baker over others was the passion of this bakery and the quality of their ingredients. Our wedding cake was a beautiful buttercream cake with four tiers. It was perfectly positioned and had differing sized tiers as requested which looked extra dramatic. The simple, yet elegant buttercream was gorgeous and was stunning with the roses, greenery and succulents I had brought in by our florist to go on each tier. The cake itself was DELICIOUS! Wedding cakes can be weirdly not that great or just too out there, but I truly LOVED the quality of our cake. The chocolate cake itself was rich, moist and delicious even before adding in the salted caramel frosting. The vanilla cake had a classic pound cake-like texture which was a perfect base for a berry and lemon curd spread. Lastly, we had a layer of spice cake which is my husband’s favorite type of cake. The cake was light and fluffy with a cinnamon and spice flavor that was well balanced with a cream cheese frosting. All these decadent flavors were wrapped in a perfect buttercream frosting. The owner was so easy to work with, delivered on time and prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this vendor! -
Casey Sent on 12/18/2017We had been to so many different cake tastings with different caterers and bridal shows, all of which tasted like your average wedding cake. We were so happy to find this bakery because the cakes were never dry, the frosting was always fresh and tasted homemade, and we loved the customer service they provided.
Inga is an artist, who is very creative with a vision, and can bake up a storm!! We initially used Cake Ann for our engagement party cake, and was so happy with it that we used her for our wedding as well!
Inga also is not limited just to cakes. We chose 2 cakes to serve at our wedding, in addition to 3 petite desserts (finger foods). We also had Inga cater our breakfast for the wedding party the day of the wedding with meat pies, vegetarian tart, croissants, fresh fruit, coffee, etc. which were fabulous! -
