Using Fruit in Your Wedding Decor

If you’ve visited your local farmer’s market recently, you probably noticed that it’s prime time for lots of delicious produce. If you love to eat fresh fruit, why not incorporate some produce into your wedding decor? Here are some of our favorite ideas:

Grapes: Whether you’re getting married at a vineyard or just want to nod to your love of wine, grapes make a delicious and appropriate addition to a centerpiece or adornment to a cake. The wonderful thing about grapes is that they come in a variety of colors and shades – consider mixing and matching to create something truly unique.

Apples: Because apples are so hardy, they are a popular addition to fall wedding decor. Tie escort cards to their stems, place them among autumn-hued flowers in centerpieces, and yes, of course, caramel apples make delicious dessert or favor options.

Citrus Fruits: Looking to brighten up your reception space? Add a touch of citrus! We love seeing sliced lemons and limes lining glass centerpiece vases, but we’ve also seen a simple bowl of lemons as a cheerful centerpiece in its own right (we saw a great example of this in yesterday’s real wedding). You can also use these citrus fruits as escort cards – just pin on a label with guests’ names and table numbers.

Cherries: Bright red cherries add a gorgeous pop of color to any wedding – and they have such a carefree, nostalgic feel. Of course, we love the sweet cherry cake topper pictured above – and to add even more color, you can even add blueberries and strawberries for a super-summery vibe.
