Shelby and Joshua were married in a traditional church ceremony at Lenore Woolard Carrier Chapel followed by a rooftop reception at Bella Villa in Columbus, Miss. on June 22. “I knew it was the venue for us because it was completely unique, one-of-a-kind, ” Shelby said. “Entering from the street below, guests were led upstairs and met with a stunning pool and courtyard entirely open to the summer sky. We were tucked away, hidden amongst the historic downtown Main Street.” She wore an embroidered satin wedding gown with a scalloped neckline, accessorized with pearl bracelet designed by her grandmother. Inside the wedding gown was her “something blue” — a needlepoint insert hand-stitched by her mother. Bridesmaids wore neutral long dresses while the groom and his ‘men each wore suspenders and bowties. Bouquets were also arranged by the maid of honor! “Looking back, we may have been over our heads just a bit, but there was such a joy to see everything tie together so beautifully,” she said.
