The WeddingWire Social Atlanta was a fashion and beauty-themed treat for brides-to-be! The event was held at Neiman Marcus in the Lenox Mall, and was hosted by local bride Mone’t. Guests were welcomed with champagne, wine, and hors d’oeuvres, and enjoyed a fashion presentation featuring designer looks for pre-wedding parties—and some gorgeous lingerie, too! Afterwards, Tom Ford Beauty selected one guest to receive a total makeover and guests were able to ask the experts questions about makeup application and skin care. A lucky raffle winner received a pair of pearl earrings from Neiman Marcus, and all attendees received gift cards.

Hi! I’m Tiffany, a bride-to-be from Phoenix, Arizona, otherwise known as HereComeTheYorks on the WeddingWire Forums
. One day I was pursuing the forums and noticed a bunch of ladies talking about the Phoenix area, their venues, bridal shows, etc. I thought, “How can I meet all these women?!” What better way to reach out to them then to start a Phoenix meet up group. I was overwhelmed with the awesome response that I received, so one of the ladies from WeddingWire reached out to me and we immediately started coordinating an event. After coming up with a date, time, location the rest was history. Amazing how a small gesture can turn into such amazing friendships.
Fast forward a couple weeks… Mimosa brunch?! Uhhhhhh, yeah! It was a great, stress-free way to meet new people! About one mimosa in, everyone was having a great time getting to know one another. The grooms had made their own man table to probably avoid talking about wedding stuff. The ladies started a little “who am I” circle and gushed about our wedding venues and the colors we chose and quirky things about wedding wire that we liked. It was amazing to see how many different types of weddings everyone was planning in the same area.
We discovered date twins, color twins, and even venue twins! It was great to be able to compare experiences with brides who were further along in the planning then I am and to compare with my new found date twin about the progress she has made in planning her wedding.
Also I cannot forget to mention all the fun freebies that were donated to the meet up! I was able to raffle off a few prizes donated from Fabletics and JustFab. We also had WeddingWire swag bags with sunglasses and koozies for everyone.
Since the event we have made a local group page
where we can post about things we are searching for from wedding cake vendors and photographers to realtors for brides moving to the area! We are actually getting ready to have an impromptu gathering to welcome a new bride and her future husband to the area. I am so excited to see what WeddingWire Phoenix has in store for future events!
Brews and I Do’s—does it get any better than that? We had a blast hanging out with engaged couples (and their supportive friends!) at Hardywood Craft Brewery in Richmond, Virginia last week. After mixing and mingling while noshing on free pizza and beer, attendees got all their wedding planning questions answered by WeddingWire Editor Sarah Zlotnick and Julia Define of Down the Aisle Events, LLC. A great time was had by all! Scroll down for more details from the night.
Hardywood Craft Brewery provided the perfect backdrop for the first of many newly-engaged WeddingWire gatherings in Richmond. From the handsome wooden bars to the delicious ales on tap, the brewery’s Tasting Room is the perfect spot for a casual engagement party or rehearsal dinner.
Pizza Tonight provided a truly delicious assortment of pies for the evening, all of which they baked on sight—in a portable wood burning oven they brought to the venue!
While they were hanging out, guests added any and all wedding planning questions to white boards posted around the room. “Momzillas”, getting ruthless while cutting the guest list . . . no topic was off-limits!
One by one the white board questions were called out, and wedding experts Julia Define of Down the Aisle Events, LLC (a Harrisonburg, VA-based wedding planning company, pictured) and Sarah Zlotnick of WeddingWire were on hand to weigh-in. Couples also got tips on big ways to save money and plan efficiently.
