Personal Shopper: Old Hollywood Glam Gowns

Posted by Kim on May 02, 2013

We asked our readers to submit their “wedding dress wish lists” and we went on the hunt at New York Bridal Market to find their dream dress. Rebecca is looking for a gown from a different era:

I love the tailored, yet glamorous 1940s-inspired gowns. It should accent the bust and be fitted enough to show off curves, but not too tight.

Gowns inspired by Old Hollywood screen sirens were all over the runways this season. Not only are they sleek and lovely, they’re also versatile – we could picture these styles looking beautiful at a grand city wedding or at something more intimate at a favorite restaurant. We thought these gowns in particular were form-fitting, but don’t show too much skin, and featured vintage-inspired detailing.
