Elise and Kory were married at Aldea Wedding & Event Center in Phoenix, Ariz. on March 17 — St. Patrick’s Day! “The character and architecture of Tiaquepaque is romantic, unique, and timeless, so it fit our personalities as a couple,” Elise said. “Also, the flexibility and confidence of the staff gave us assurance that they could make our wedding just as special.” The bride wore a beaded-bodice mermaid wedding gown, accessorized with her hair in a sideswept ponytail updo, while the groom wore his uniform. Doesn’t he look dapper? “The anticipation of seeing each other at the ceremony made the walk down the aisle the most memorable,” she said. “Having all of our family and friends watch and smile as we made our commitment was priceless.” The reception was filled with romantic decor, and a cake that was topped with “Love is Sweet.” The newlyweds’ advice? “Be patient, sit back, and relax,” Elise said. “Don’t stress. Save everything; it goes by too fast.”

St. Patrick’s Day Wedding in Florida

Cori & Charles

March 17

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Q & A with the Bride:

What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

The stunning view! It’s one of the only venues in South Florida that has a pool terrace right on the ocean. We had the entire pool deck reserved all night.

Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

Hands down it was our photography, the green and white flowers including hand cut shamrocks, and our Celtic hand tying ribbon ceremony.  I spent a lot of time on the details and it really paid off.

Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

I will never forget the moment that Charles saw me for the first time at our “first look”.  The moment was so special and intimate I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
