Melissa and Diego were married at Vrinda’s Meditation Garden in Miami, Fla. on September 10. “I always wanted to have an outdoor wedding,” Melissa said. “I love nature, and I wanted it to be at an ashram, so it was the perfect place.” Surrounded by 50 closest family and friends, the couple proclaimed their vows to each other. “During Vedic wedding ceremonies, the vows you exchange with your spouse include swearing friendship, fidelity, companionship, love, care, and to abide by them for 100 autumns,” she said. “How beautiful is that! Every word, and my husband’s look into my eyes when he was saying them to me are unforgettable.” The reception followed underneath a tent lit with lanterns. Tables were decorated with pink and orange linens and grass centerpieces. The guests’ favorite detail? The naked wedding cake with three different flavors: passion fruit, blueberry, and spirulina.

Braiden and Tom were married at The Club at Las Campanas in Santa Fe, N.M. on September 15. “The day flowed nicely from one event to the next as guests moved from the equestrian center to cocktails at an adjacent log cabin and then back to the prized horse stables for dinner,” Erin of Veira Photographics said. The bride wore a breathtaking blush mermaid wedding gown, accessorized with her hair down in loose curls, while the groom wore a white button down, black blazer and bow tie, and jeans (yes, jeans!). Bridesmaids even went casual with cowboy boots.  The Ralph Lauren-inspired reception was decorated with rustic farm tables, table runners, centerpieces filled with roses, dahlias, and berries, and crystal chandeliers above. “The couple used a motif of flying pigs throughout the decor too to add a special personal touch as well as a bit of lighthearted humor,” she said. You’ll spot our favorite one on the cake!

Katie and Michael were married at Lake Mohawk Country Club in Sparta, N.J. on October 12. “We knew we wanted our wedding to be close to the water,” Katie said. “We fell in love with the boardwalk overlooking the [lake], in addition to the reception room with the high ceiling and exposed beams. It was just picturesque.” She looked beautiful in her sweetheart lace wedding gown, accessorized with a wildflower bouquet. Did you check out her updo? It has a braid! The groom wore a pinstripe gray suit, accessorized with a patterned tie. After writing and saying their own vows, the two were officially pronounced husband and wife. Guests were escorted to their seats with handmade coasters. Tables were decorated with burlap squares, wine table numbers featuring childhood pictures, and guest libs. The bride’s favorite moment? “Dancing all night with our friends and family to our awesome live band!”

Angela and Carlino were married at The Lodge at Sonoma on September 28. “The outdoor lawn has an amazing rock wall around it that we knew would make a great background for the wedding ceremony,” Angela said. “And the stone building, where we had the reception, had incredible exposed ceiling beams hung with lanterns.” Besides the bride’s Maggie Sottero lace wedding gown with an illusion neckline, two of her favorite details were the flowers and entertainment! Bouquets were filled with orange and purple roses, dahlias, and orchids, and many guests raved about the mixture of music that was played. “We loved the entire day,” she said. “Having all of our family and friends there, the toasts, the food, and the music. It was a living dream. I want to go back and do it again!”

Q & A with the Bride:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

We had looked at so many venues; they all began to run together. I wanted something beautiful and cost-friendly, and the options in Charlottesville were limited. One evening, when we weren’t really looking specifically for a venue, my husband came across The American Hotel, and I fell in love! We went to look at it the following week and booked it that day. The hotel was perfect for our style and personalities and in our budget!

2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

1. My dress – I only tried on dresses once so I knew I had to pick something that day! Once I tried it on, I knew nothing else could top it! It was discontinued and just happened to be my exact size and on clearance! I did not even need alterations!

2. Guest Tree – I saw the idea on Pinterest and fell in love with the idea. We had every guest sign a leaf to place on the tree, and when it was all full, we framed it, and it has became a centerpiece in our home!

3. Grooms Cuff Links – Music is a huge part of my husband’s life, and as special touch, I bought him music note cuff links. It was a small touch but something that make his rented tux more customized to him!

3. Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

The moment I can’t stop thinking about is the moment when we were saying our vows, and Ryan took out a handkerchief and wiped my tears away.  It was truly a picture of his love for me, and it will forever be a cherished memory of mine.
