Posted by Kim on Dec 27, 2012

This year, we published over 200 real weddings on this blog – from glamorous affairs to laid-back celebrations, we’ve truly seen it all. But some weddings and details really stood out, and we wanted to share them with you.

Modern and Cheeky Wedding Stationery

The wedding of two graphic designers in Palm Springs, California featured some of the coolest details we’ve ever seen. In particular, we loved the paper goods – from the aisle markers to the menus, the contemporary design and informal language really sets the tone for a totally relaxed affair and showcases the couple’s sense of humor. Palm Springs, California

From the Photographer: This is what happens when two graphic designers tie the knot in Palm Springs. Their ceremony and reception were filled with their own designs and theme of Nine.Ten.Eleven – A Celebration in the Desert. The reception venue, The Movie Colony Hotel, fit perfectly with their graphic elements. One of the most unique features was a huge floating cutout in the pool that spelled out, “LOVE IS…”.

From the groom: “I am a recently married man. My beautiful wife and I were married on 09.10.11 in Palm Springs and it was fantastic. Choosing Nine.Ten.Eleven. as we would refer to it, became the general theme for the event. The location choice – Palm Springs,CA – gave us inspiration for our bright yellow color palette and the wedding title “A Celebration in the Desert”. We are both graphic designers so we created a bunch of fun stuff to go along with the ceremony and reception. A few things we created were waterjet cut invitations, custom screenprinted placemats along with balloons that were created for our photo room.”
