Our Q&A with the Bride:
What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?
I loved growing up on a farm, and although I don’t consider myself ‘country’ I wanted to have my wedding in a place I felt cozy and comfortable.
Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?
My favorite parts of the decorations would be the burlap wrapped mason jars, with twine and pearls. We hand made everything and it was so worth it! We also incorporated scrabble letters to show off my husband’s family’s favorite game, and froze our home-grown berries in the ice cubes to add some color!
If you could offer one piece of advice for other couples planning their wedding, what would it be?
Lists, lists, lists! One thing I wish I had done better is made lists of tasks that could be delegated. So many people offered to help, but even with my planning skills I couldn’t keep everything straight! Mega organization is KEY in the final weeks especially.
Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.
One of the highlights of the day was the mother and son dance! They danced to “Your Smiling Face” by James Taylor, didn’t plan anything but just rocked the floor! The whole crowd was laughing and clapping and it turned the wedding into a party instantly! It was a perfect segue from solemn to fun!
