It’s time for our weekly real weddings recap! Today, we’re sharing five weddings with inspiration for classic, glam, and whimsical styles, plus two amazing non-traditional wedding gowns. Keep reading to see our favorite details:
Tropical Glam Florida Wedding – Nicole and Tim were married at The Lodge at Wakulla Springs in Wakulla Springs, Fla. on November 7. For their wedding, this couple was inspired by old Hollywood glamour. They added a bit of tropical flair with a bold orange and blue color scheme. Some of our favorite details include the bird of paradise cake and the bride’s shimmering gown!

Purple Washington Hotel Wedding – Jennifer and Edwin were married at the Hotel Bellevue in Bellevue, Wash. on August 15. How adorable are their first look reactions? Check out the full gallery to see the couple’s glam purple reception, which was filled with votive candles, crystal strands and metallic silver accents.

Chic Massachusetts Pier Wedding – Emily and David were married at the Vineyard Haven Yacht Club in Vineyard Haven, Mass. on October 17. Romantic centerpieces, watercolor invitations and a harborfront ceremony are just a few things we’re loving about this Martha’s Vineyard wedding — not to mention the bride’s stunning blush wedding gown by Monique Lhuillier!

Autumn Pennsylvania Inn Wedding – Anna and Viktor were married at The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm in Holicong, Pa. on October 31. We have to admit that we’re totally smitten with these confetti-filled balloons, which brought the perfect touch of whimsy to the big day.

Spring New Mexico Park Wedding – Chelsea and Will were married at the Event Center at Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque, N.M. on May 4. If you’re getting marred in the spring, don’t miss this wedding! From the bridesmaids’ pastel gowns to the fresh floral decor, this couple’s big day was quintessentially spring chic.

Happy Friday! We’re sharing some of our favorite weddings from the past week. First up is a laid-back summer beach wedding in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, followed by a cheerful state park wedding and breathtaking California winery wedding. Don’t miss the links to the full galleries below!
Nautical North Carolina Wedding – Lauren and Hunter were married at Kitty Hawk Pier House in Kitty Hawk, N.C. on July 25. We loved their unique ceremony location – they were married on the pier above the ocean! The bride’s bouquet was perfectly beachy-chic, along with the aisle decor (starfish and hurricane lanterns), favors and centerpieces.

Bright Ohio State Park Wedding – Haley and Jack were married at the Maumee Bay State Park in Toledo, Ohio on September 6. The bride incorporated bright pink and purple into her look while still keeping an overall classic effect. We also can’t help but love her bridesmaids’ sequined dresses!

Romantic Sonoma Winery Wedding – Lori and Kyle were married at Viansa Sonoma in Sonoma, Calif. on July 15. From the bride’s blush Lazaro ballgown to the venue’s stunning views (which could easily pass for the Italian countryside), this couple’s wedding was the perfect recipe for romance. They added a little bit of edge with the bold striped invitation suite.

Colorful Florida Inn Wedding – Moira and Arnie were married at the Sweetwater Branch Inn in Gainesville, Fla. on June 6. They turned their wedding day into a wedding weekend, with some guests staying in cottages on the inn’s property. Another detail we love: Moira and Arnie’s first dance was to “Memory” by Barbara Streisand – the same song that Arnie’s parents danced to at their wedding.

Autumn Maryland Estate Wedding – Meghan and Devin were married at The Cloisters in Lutherville, Md. on October 24. Their color palette was filled with rich autumn colors: cranberry red, plum purple and touches of gold. The groom’s boutonniere, which he paired with a paisley bow tie and pocket square, caught our eye!

Winter weddings are meant to be intimate, especially when it comes to your reception seating floor plan. Creating your chart isn’t the most fun-filled task, but, thankfully, WeddingWire has a FREE tool to help keep you organized. You can easily drag and drop guests at different shapes and sizes. Our Decor Editor suggests to opt for a combination of square and rectangle tables in lieu of circle. Read all the pros and cons from real event planners here.

It’s not pretty, but it happens. What started as an ethereal spill of curls has turned a bit sweaty and limp as you broke it down low on the dance floor. Or an intricately, bobby-pinned updo comes a little too undone as guests lifted you high up on chairs in random spurts of celebration. Either way, there are fall-back fixes if you find yourself in need of a new wedding hairstyle with nary an expert in sight.
