Looking for a wedding dress for your spring wedding? You’re in luck. At the most recent bridal market, there were many dress trends that were just made for spring garden weddings. Here are a few of our favorites:

Floral Motifs: Floral patterns can be showcased on a wedding gown in a variety of ways – embroidery (as shown on the Claire Pettibone gown above), printed fabric, and 3D appliques are the most common.

Lace: This is an obvious one – lace is the ideal fabric for a spring wedding. It’s so feminine and classic, and is available in so many silhouettes, from ballgowns to sheaths, like this Wtoo Brides gown.

Blush: We love that pink is becoming such a popular hue for wedding gowns (hello, Jessica Biel!) – and it’s never more appropriate than in the springtime. Worried that a pink wedding dress won’t allow you to stand out the way a white one would? Let this jaw-dropping Ines di Santo gown prove you wrong!

Tea Length: If you’re getting married outside, there’s no need to get your hem dirty – choose a tea-length dress for a vintage vibe, and to show off your shoes! We adore this David’s Bridal style, as it features another springtime favorite – dotted fabric!

Wedding Dress Look-a-Likes: Amber Tamblyn

Posted by Caitlin on Oct 11, 2012

Dress Designers (from left to right): Dessy and Marios Schwab

Remember Tibby (Amber Tamblyn) from “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?” Well, she tied the knot to actor David Cross Oct. 6 wearing a non-traditional mustard-colored dress. Tamblyn arrived in a canoe for her nuptials, barefoot, and adorned with yellow flowers in hair as well as in her bouquet. Of, course all her costars from “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” were in attendance, including newlyweds Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. What do you think of Tamblyn’s dress? Would you wear a non-white, ivory or cream dress? Tell us in the comments below or for more inspiration, check out our wedding dress photo gallery.

For all you celebrity wedding watchers out there, by now, we’re sure you’ve seen the photos from Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves’s laid-back Texas wedding, specifically the shots of Camila’s gorgeous handmade wedding gown. The design, created by a family friend based in Brazil, featured a bateau neckline and long sleeves all in beaded lace. The style really hits on two major trends that we saw at last season’s bridal market: illusion necklines and sleeves! And Camila certainly proves that you can wear sleeves any time of year, not just the cold weather months.

If, by chance, you don’t have the same connections as Camila, you can still find several more readily-available wedding gowns that have a similar Old World, feminine vibe. These styles are hot-off-the-runway from the most recent bridal market:

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: It’s time for our wedding dress trend finals! Since there was a near-tie in the second round of the semifinals, you’ll have three gowns to choose from. And just to be fair, we’re showing both the front and back of each gown. You’ll until Monday evening to vote, and we’ll announce the winner on Tuesday!

So here they are, selected by you, the readers: our three esteemed finalists!

Vote for your Favorite Wedding Dress Trend: Lace

Posted by Kim on May 08, 2012

Yesterday, we asked you to pick your favorite sleeve style. Seems like most of you prefer just a hint of coverage, in the form of cap sleeves.

This morning, we’re talking lace – the most feminine and romantic of fabrications. At bridal market this season, we saw designers use lace in entirely new and unique ways. So now we’re wondering which of these new lace styles are you most psyched about?
