Little Details: Chocolates

Posted by bridalbuds on Apr 18, 2009

I must admit, I didn’t even think about having a chocolate or after dinner mint until my mom mentioned it to me a few weeks ago.  She suggested getting See’s Candy individual boxes.  Then I thought about putting See’s Candy on mini Cake plates with the glass dome and using them for our centerpieces, but didn’t want to spend $250 dollars on Cake Plates.  I have many here, but getting them to California is another story.

I did some research , and I love these scrapbook wrapped chocolates by Martha Stewart.

Lucky in Love

Posted by bridalbuds on Apr 13, 2009

In college I was required to have an art credit to graduate.  I dreaded this.  I am NOT artistic – and, all of the classes require 3 hours of class/week and 6 hours of lab time plus countless hours of studio time on your own (I didn’t not have time for this – I had to study party).  Anyway, I decided on pottery – turns out, I was quite good at it!  Then yesterday it dawned on me, I should put my little known talent to work!  I have decided to make 200+ individually glazed and personalized salt bowls.

I will put each in a little brown box with a note that reads something like “Throw a pinch over your shoulder for good luck”… lucky in love, Jon and Kristina.  That needs some work, but you get the idea.

I think I will do red, orange, and brown glaze I will post pics of the final outcome!!
