Shauna and Eric were married Old Newhall Barn in Newhall, Calif. on October 13. “I loved how it fit into my vintage, rustic look,” Shauna said. “Plus, it was in our backyard and very special to my husband!” The bride wore a custom designed wedding gown with a ruffled skirt, accessorized with a sparkly gray sash and “something blue” peep-toe pumps, while the groom wore a black suit, accessorized with a white bow tie and initialed cufflinks. “Our first look, I was so nervous because it was like meeting him for the first time again,” she said. Inside the barn, fabric draped from the ceiling’s wooden beams and mason jar candles hung from the walls during the ceremony. Tables were then decorated with burgundy linens, lace, and silhouette pictures during the reception. Notice it served double-duty? If dinner wasn’t enough, the dessert display was! Guests could pick and choose between lollipops, pumpkin pies, apple pie pops, chocolates, cookies, and taffies. At the end of the night, the newlyweds exited in a 1950s Hudson automobile with a “Just Married” sign hand painted on the back window along with soda cans trailing from behind. Not to mention the sea of sparklers too! Their best advice: “Hire a wedding planner!” Shauna said. “At least for the day of. It’ll make everything run smoothly.”

Modern, Vibrant Wedding Style Shoot Inspiration

Posted by Jeffra on Nov 10, 2011

From the Coordinator: “This was a BEAUTIFUL photo-shoot with a modern, bright and non floral theme. This shoot creates stunning inspiration for brides wanting to see reception table decor, ceremony setup, fun stationary and bridal couture. Instead of using florals, I used a brooch bouquet, paper garland, pinwheels, fabulous linens and original stationary. This shoot was located at a private estate in Rancho Sante Fe never before used for photo-shoots. I hope you like it! Special thank to the wonderful collection of vendors used in this shoot.” – Les Belles Affaires

Princess and the Pea Styled Inspiration

To read the entire story on how this style-shoot came about, you’ll have to read Becca Rillo’s Blog. She was the amazing photographer who submitted this shoot for us to feature.  I love the out-of-the-box idea for this.  Even if you’re not into the whole “princess” theme, you have to LOVE the details and florals pulled into this inspiration. Enjoy!
