Celebrity Prediction: Avril Lavigne’s Wedding Style

Posted by Alexandra on May 29, 2013

Avril Lavigne says planning her upcoming nuptials to Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger is a full-time job. While the 28-year-old singer-songwriter has kept most of the specifics under wraps, she did tell E! talk show host Chelsea Handler that the big day will have an “edgy” style. We predict a black and white scheme with a fun, slightly rebellious, rocker feel.

Wedding Dress Ideas for Avril Lavigne

If you haven’t heard by now, Avril Lavigne is engaged to Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger! Since they’ve been dating for only six months, we’ve come up with some dress ideas for Avril if she decides to get married any sooner than that! Here’s what we know: Avril seems to gravitate towards the gothic chic and unpredictable looks. After all, she is a punk rock singer and songwriter. So perhaps she’d like a strapless, black chiffon fit-n-flare dress with matching black converse tennis shoes. Or maybe she’ll go for a white halter, organza cage gown with a messy updo.

Our friends over at Hayley Paige have just sent over a sketch they did for Avril Lavigne’s wedding gown, fitting the description she gave Perez Hilton on what she envisions wearing for the big day.

Celebrity Wedding Inspiration

Why do we love celebrity weddings so much? I think the nearly infinite budget might have a little to do with it, but just because very few of us are famous, or lucky enough (i.e. Spencer and Heidi – it has to be pure luck that they’re popular!!), to have a never-ending wedding budget it doesn’t mean we can’t take a little inspiration from the drop-dead gorgeous celebrity fetes. Below are some of my favorite celebrity wedding details that I have seen over the past several years.  I think I was successful in only including those couples still together (this was not an easy feat!) because who wants to look at a wedding where the marriage lasted a week?
