We were finally able to ‘publish’ our Save the Dates.
I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful Aunt (Hence forward known as Auntie Daisy) who is a Graphic Designer (you’ve seen her work all over, but i wont’ go in to that unless she wants me too).
She has been working on our invitations and we got our “save the dates” yesterday.
In order to save a bit of money, since were having nice invites printed, we opted for a cheaper, greener save the date, via email…
and here it is:
I love our save the dates and the design for the invitation are even better. Hope to share them soon.
One of the things we did with our save the dates was to use a mail serve generally used for marketing, so we can see who has looked at our invitations and which link they’ve clicked on… (we used MailChimp, a free service if you’re not mailing something more than 20,000 emails per month) Our aim is to direct people to our website so they can see our registry, and accommodation information. And to fill out a form where they can correct or add their mailing address for the “real” invitations we will mail out in a month or so.
We’re on our way.
