Declaring that laser cut gowns, hand-crafted in sheer organza tulle, are the new lace Reem Acra showed a collection of layered gowns creating an “air of lightness” as well as texture. And while ivory and white were the fabric colors of choice, the designer also used tulle embroidered with translucent paillettes and pearls creating a ‘transparent fabric.’ Take a look at some of the stunning designs by Reem Acra:
Transparency is the New White: This “Just Divine” gown is the perfect example of Acra’s transparent fabrics. Tulle “straps” on the front bodice extend over the back and to the waist and is embellished with small crystals.
3-D Flowers: One of the season’s popular design elements this fit and flare gown is adorned with three-dimensional silk organza flowers.
Patterned Embellishments: Instead of a scattered pattern for beaded embellishments Acra created a unique design on this fit and flare gown with cap sleeves and cascading ruffles.
Show Some Leg: Brides who want to show off their sexy legs should check out this translucent tulle embroidered draped gown. Remember when your feet are showing you need to accessorize your look with a killer pair of shoes.
Draping: Without beading, lace, embroidery or other embellishments Acra draped the silk satin faced chiffon fabric on this gown creating beautiful and flattering lines.
