Our Favorite Wedding Entertainment Trends for 2014

If you’re looking to go beyond the traditional DJ and band entertainment, here’s what we’re predicting to see more of in 2014:

Slow Motion Photo Booths – This video sensation went viral at the end of August, and everyone’s been asking, “What’s a slow motion photo booth?” According to Super Frogs Saves Tokyo, they used a RED Epic camera that shot 160 frames per second! Now, that’s a lot of photos. Since the music is muted, be sure to have Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” playing in the background.

Transportation – Make a grand entrance from your ceremony to reception in anything but a limo. Think: pedicabs, yellow school buses, trolleys, horse drawn carriages, vintage checker cabs.

Table and Group Games – Tired of lawn games? Have mad libs, I Spy, and advice questionnaires on tables for guests to fill out and organize group activities such as video games, board games, or trivia.

After Parties – We can’t stop the reception from continuing into the wee hours of the morning. Go to a carnival, bowling alley, or favorite restaurant to sing karaoke.
