Tory and Kyle were married at Movie Colony Hotel in Palm Springs, California on February 22. “It had such an intimate setting,” Tory said. “We hoped our guests would gather the whole wedding weekend (and they did, we booked the entire hotel!).” The bride wore a strapless taupe wedding dress with soutache flowers over the bodice and skirt, accessorized with her hair down in loose curls, while the groom wore a white button-up shirt, dark gray vest and pants, accessorized with a patterned bow tie. Bridesmaids wore mix ‘n’ matched short dresses and carried bouquets of cala lillies, succulents, craspedia balls, green tricks, berries, and dusty millers. “We stuck with neutral greens and 0ff-white with pops of retro teal and orange,” she said. The ceremony took place against a fabric ribbon backdrop where both said their own vows. “It was more special than we could have ever imagined,” Tory said. “What seemed like a formality and a small part of the whole planning process was definitely my favorite part of the day.” The reception took place surrounding the pool lit with bistro bulbs. Tables werer decorated with lace runners, burlap napkins, and music-themed names. “Personal touches included our guitar guest book and our favorite burger spot catering,” she said. Guests were even encouraged to upload their pictures to Instagram as long as they used the hashtag #blacksmithe222. The newlyweds best advice? “Only surround yourself with people who make this a fun experience for you and your groom,” Tory said. “It’s the one day it can be your way or the highway. You want to look back and have only positive feelings about the day. Protect the process and enjoy the ride by making sure you love your vendors!”
