Five Fabulous Looks from Ines Di Santo

Posted by Bridal Market on Oct 19, 2011

Inspired by Hollywood’s red carpet and today’s celebrity brides, the Spring 2012 Ines Di Santo collection is filled with both classic and glamorous looks. The opulent designs the designer is known for are understated in this collection but she still adds her own personal touches. Here are a few of the ones we loved:

Lace as Illusion: Illusion necklines is one of the trends from this season’s runway and designers played with different ways of illustrating this detail. One that we really liked was lace as illusion. This fit-to-flare Alencon lace gown has a pink underlay and a bateau neckline with off-the-shoulder sleeves.

Gauntlets: The models on the Ines Di Santo runway wore tulle gauntlets embellished with various details including crystals, ribbons and “flowers.” Similar to having sleeves in that part of the arms are covered, yet more casual and definitely modern.

Asymmetrical Bodice: While strapless still rules as the most popular neckline, a strapless neckline doesn’t have to cut directly across one’s chest as Di Santo shows with this asymmetrical one. The off while silk Peau de Soie mermaid gown has a draped bodice and full pickup skirt.

Beaded Flowers: Sometimes less is more, as is the case with this silk taffeta mermaid strapless gown with rouched torso accented by asymmetrical beaded floral crystal appliques.

Crystal Belt: Continuing with the less is more theme, this sleeveless fit-to-flare gown is embellished by a Swarovski crystal belt. It’s a classic look yet with a modern sensibility.
