I created this “Feelin’ Groovy” Wedding Inspiration Board at Style Me Pretty

The internet has created a whole new element to wedding planning. Hundreds of wedding networks, blogs and online magazines are available for ideas, DIY tutorials, and advice for your wedding planning and it’s all FREE! Planning a wedding can be very overwhelming, especially since there are SOO many options and SOO many different styles. The key to staying calm and stress-free is being able to quickly weed out the ideas and styles you know aren’t suited for you. For example, if you are a bride interested in having an eco-concious wedding, narrow your search and head over to Eco-Beautiful Weddings for plenty of eco-friendly ideas. If you want your wedding to have a vintage vibe, check out Ruffled or for very soft and feminine ideas,  Style Me Pretty. There are hundreds of other great sources out there to help guide you but try to narrow your search from the get go to sites that fit your personal style.

I created this “Estate Romance” Wedding Inspiration Board at Style Me Pretty

Need help finding your style and color scheme? Create an inspiration/mood board! It’s fun and easy and FREE! Style Me Pretty has a very easy to use Board making tool that allows you to use their photos for creating your ideal wedding feel. If you’re having trouble deciding on the colors or style of your wedding, I recommend you create a board or two (or more!) and decide what you and your fiancee like the best. You may even want to have you and your fiancee each create a board without helping each other and then compare your boards to see how similar or different your ideas are. You can then start to mix your ideas and come up with a wedding style that is truly both of yours. This is a great tool to help translate the style and feel of your wedding to your vendors. Be sure to print out a few copies for meeting with your floral designer, event planner and any other vendor who may need one.

If you plan on doing a lot of DIY projects, Pinterest is a great souce for collecting online goods that you are thinking of buying and pinning them to a board to get a sense of the overall look. You must request an invite to join but once you’re in, the pinning is easy and fun! Wedding Aces is a great forum for asking professionals questions and getting the answers you need to properly budget and plan your wedding.Wedding planning should be a fun, stress-free process so be sure to use all the tools available to you!
