Chicago Bridal Market Recap (Bridesmaid Edition)

Posted by Kim on Apr 02, 2012

Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the bridesmaids! At last week’s Chicago Bridal Market, we spotted the latest bridesmaid dress trends – look out for these dress styles at a boutique near you.

Sleeves Kate Middleton’s wedding dress helped kick off the sleeve trend last season, but we had yet to see many bridesmaid styles that featured arm coverage. Happily, designers seem to be getting the hint and provided several styles with sleeves.

Lace Lace wedding dresses have been a mainstay, well, forever. But we’re finally seeing this feminine fabrication transition over to bridesmaid dresses. Whether it’s adorning the bodice, skirt, or the whole shebang, we’re glad to see lace in this context.

One-Shoulder Sheaths  Looking for a style that all of your bridesmaids can wear? Loose-fitting, one-shoulder sheath dresses were all over the runways – and they’re the rare type of dress that can work on most body types (and they look really comfortable, too!). To add a little shape, add a fun belt to cinch in the waist.
