Hot Air Balloon Wedding

Janessa & Trey

November 5

Santa Rosa, California

Can you imagine saying “I Do” in the open sky? Well, that is what this couple wanted to do, and the did!

Janessa and Trey chose to get married in a hot air balloon because they wanted their wedding to be an adventure – just like their relationship. They wanted an intimate, exciting, beautiful, and fun experience that they would never forget. And they got just that. – Diane Askew, of Diane Askew Photography

New Orleans City Park Wedding

Melissa & Joel

November 26

New Orleans, Louisiana

I am absolutely in awe of the shots April + Paul  captured of this couple’s big day. The photos of Melissa getting ready are truly stunning, they are the photos you hope to have from your wedding. Melissa’s bouquet, designed by Grow With Us Florist, was also a show stopper. Ranunculus blooms in several differ shades surrounded by berries, and hydrangeas, gave the perfect amount of color to their New Orleans City Park wedding.

In the middle of the cold, snowy East coast winter {which actually has been fairly mild this year} I crave outdoor weddings.  Dana and Ben’s nuptials at the pastoral Armstrong Farms Allyson Anne barn are just the fix.  With gorgeous photos by Carden’s Photography, and a TON of DIY creativity by Dana, not to mention a scrumptious pie bar by JPC Event Group, this wedding will feed your need for pretty, rustic and outdoor beauty!

Dana and Ben are both mechanical engineers for a large aeronautics company, and they embraced their “science” geek with creative “formula” and equation table markers amidst a setting of rustic ribbons, fabric flags and carefully crafted details.  Their shaker-style ceremony featured hand crafted vows and speeches, surrounded by family and friends.  And did I mention the killer photo booth that Dana created with oh-so-amazing props?
