In honor of Earth Day on Monday, we’re sharing our ideas to help you plan a green wedding. If you didn’t know, a green wedding is when a couple opts out for environmentally friendly alternatives from the dress to the cake. Here are 4 ways to shrink your carbon footprint–in other words, reduce, reuse and recycle:
Save trees by choosing invitations that are plantable or nix invitations altogether and send Evites through your personalized wedding website.

Most imported flowers are sprayed with harsh chemicals. Consider walking down the aisle without a bouquet or decorate your altar with blooms you can replant after the wedding.
3. Place Setting
At each setting, place a piece of greenery. For example, ferns are known to remove pollutants from the air.

4. Organic Food
Even though it can be more expensive, organic food from you local farmer’s market can be an option in your budget.

Just like you should replant some of your blooms after the wedding, give your guests a potted plant, such as a succulent, so they can watch love grow.
