Clients can choose from sepia, dual tone or black and white.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
With over 100 wedding and events photographed, John is able to photograph in any lighting situation.
Is your media preference film or digital?
My training and background is in film, but I prefer to shoot digital because of the flexiblity and creativity digital imaging allows.
How many photographers do you work with?
Multiple photographers are available upon the request of the client.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
John guarantees his presence at each event that is booked.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
John only books one wedding per day to allow for optimal preparation on his part and for last minute changes on the part of the client.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
A minimium of 2 Nikon D300 cameras, a selection of prime lens, speed flashes, battery chargers and extra batteries.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Back up equipment will be on-site in the event there is a malfunction.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Because each wedding is unique there are several pricing options available including hourly, half day, full day and multiple day. Please see www.johndewald.com for detailed pricing and package information.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Overtime is $300.00/hr
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
One 15 minute per 3 hours and a meal break during the reception while your family and quest are eating.
Do you charge for travel?
All travel is included within 120 mile radius
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Proofs will be ready 2-3 weeks following the event
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Clients have the option to choose from CD/DVD, flash drive or online proofs.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Proofs are the clients to keep.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
All images and rights to those images belong to the client.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Rights to publish the photographs for promotional use are reserved.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
The client will receive a CD/DVD of all imagees in high-res and retouched
Will images be available for viewing online?
Half day and full day packages include an online gallery
What kind of albums do you offer?
A basic black leather album is available with certain packages. Customized albums are available. Each customized album will be a collection of unique pictures, comprised of relaxed portraits, creative details and spontaneous moments.
When will the client get the final album?
The final book will be delivered 4-6 weeks after picture selection is returned to photographer
