About

Known for her positive high-energy personality, Owner and Principal Consultant Sonya Lloyd believes that planners are born not made.  She recalls planning her first event at the very young age of 10 years old.  She gathered all of the neighborhood children to search the corner store grounds for lose change. By the time they put their findings together, they were able to buy all the female elders in her neighborhood a coin purse.

This South Carolina native and Military Spouse have organized church events, dance teams for the youth and parties.  While residing in Europe she planned trips from Disney Land Paris to Czechoslovakia. She is extremely driven and enjoys every minute of it!!  Sonya the oldest of nine siblings and considers herself to be a jack of all trades. She is a Medical Administrator, Massage Therapist, Cake Decorator, and a mother of two just to name a few. Being able to handle and multi task her job and family life style confirms that she has what it takes to be an event planner.

Bless-ed Occasions Event Management was established in 2006. It’s all about bringing a joyful stress free event to every client. In effort to offer the best and most update trends to her clients, Sonya attends various event planning classes/seminar and conferences.  She participated in an intense Wedding Planner Internship Program under the featured planner of “Whose Wedding Is It Anyway” Lynnette Richardson Hall of Baltimore MD. Sonya is currently participating in a floral arrangement class to add to her treasured services.

Tips and Advice
Your wedding day is special and unique:  Every couple desires to have that one of a kind or unique wedding.  Guess what? It is going to be a one of a kind wedding and became unique when you said, "Yes"  There are no words to explain the joy in your hearts from the yes to the I do’s. Don’t lose sight of that.  It will leave you with memories and a feeling that you will NEVER forget.

Life after the I Do’s: After the bouquet and garter have been tossed and you have taken your first dance as husband and wife life begins. Be realistic and honest with yourselves about how much you can afford to spend on your wedding. Don’t put yourselves in debt going into the marriage because you tried to out do someone or keep up with the Jone’s.  When you take off that beautifu wedding gown and return the tux, the responsiblities of everyday life continues. Elegance doesn’t have to have big price tag on it.
