You’ve written the vows, you’ve found the officiant, but now it’s time to select music for one of the biggest moments in your life. Of course you want songs that reflect your personal taste, but you may also want to include some wedding ceremony songs for 2019 that feel fresh rather than repeated. Looking to create a ceremony playlist featuring of-the-moment music? We’ve enlisted the help of industry experts, Hollon Yarborough of AMP’D ENTERTAINMENT in Atlanta, Georgia and Elissa Pociask of Green Line Talent in Chicago, Illinois to share their top selections for new wedding ceremony songs every couple should consider.

These are the wedding ceremony songs 2019 couples will play to ensure your nuptials feel current and contemporary.

"Shallow" by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga

As a breakout hit from the 2018 film, A Star is Born, “this track is going to be all over every wedding playlist for the next couple years,” Yarborough said. “It will probably most often end up as a first dance selection, but will also be included as a top wedding ceremony song for 2019 as well.”

"This Town" by Niall Horan

You might recognize Niall Horan as a member of One Direction, but this Irish singer/songwriter released several of his own singles, including “This Town”, which features perfectly sweet lyrics like “If the whole world was watching I'd still dance with you / Drive highways and byways to be there with you / Over and over the only truth / Everything comes back to you.”

Wedding Party Processional

"Shotgun" by George Ezra

Dubbed by Yarborough as “an absolute hold it down for the squad track,” this George Ezra song is a super catchy pick to liven up the mood as your bridesmaids and groomsmen make their way down the aisle.

"I’ll Be Waiting (When You Come Home)" Dan Rodriguez

If you don’t know Dan Rodriguez, that’s going to change because his music is about to steal your heart in a serious way. This sweet 2019 wedding ceremony song is a lovely, upbeat pick for your wedding party (including those adorable flower girls and ring bearers!) to make their big entrance.

Bride Processional

"Unchained Melody (Cover)" by Lykke Li

You’ll love the soft, lyrical spin Lykke Li puts on this classic hit originally performed by The Righteous Brothers. In fact, when looking to select unique ceremony music Pociask always recommends checking with your DJ. “Whether you want something traditional and classic, or something with a new twist, we might be able to recommend a unique cover version of one of your favorites,” she said.

"I Get to Love You" by RUELLE

“Wildly romantic” is the only way to describe this indie pop song that has all the key elements for a magical walk down the aisle. Add this to your music lineup and you can rest assured that your big moment will be everything you’ve dreamed.

"Beautiful (Acoustic)" by Bazzi

“2018 was Bazzi’s debut year, but 2019 will be his breakout year. He’s got the crooning vocals of Sam Smith with the hip hop swagger of Swae Lee,” Yarborough said. “This song is glorious in both the original and acoustic version.”

Before/After Vows

"Not Going Anywhere" by Keren Ann

A beautiful song with lyrics like, ”Tide will rise and fall along the bay / And I'm not going anywhere / I'm not going anywhere,” make this Keren Ann track a perfect mid-ceremony selection.

"This Is Why I Need You" by Jesse Ruben

This mellow indie tune could be used anywhere during the ceremony but would be an especially great choice during a unity candle lighting, washing of feet ceremony, or any important ritual you may be including.

"Fool For Love" by Lord Huron

Kick off your happily ever after with this sweet alternative/indie wedding ceremony song by Lord Huron. It’s exactly the catchy, upbeat track every couple wants as they stroll hand-in-hand down the aisle.

"High Hopes" by Panic! At the Disco

“Not may artists straddle indie, rock, emo, and Top 40 better than Panic! At The Disco,” Yarborough said. In fact, he predicts their track “High Hopes” will become a highly requested anthem and wedding ceremony song for 2019.

"Sunflower" by Post Malone & Swae Lee

Get the party started with a single from this breakout hit featuring Post Malone and Swae Lee. “The two best hook singers in the game collabing on a song that is like pure pop euphoria,” Yarborough said.

"First Try" by Johnnyswim

Keep the romantic tunes going with this beautiful 2019 wedding ceremony song by the American-folk duo, Johnnyswim. It’s sweet, soulful, and is guaranteed to wrap up your ceremony in perfect fashion.
