We couldn't have been happier with Julie! The pictures turned out beautifully and we had our proofbook shortly after returning from our honeymoon. Julie was easy to work with, I would def recommend her if your groom isn't thrilled about having his pic taken all day, she really made everyone comfortable and captured all the special moments.

Julie is amazing! She captured everything we wanted down to the little details. She is sweet, but when the bridal party starts to get antsy, she keeps everyone in line so she can get what she needs! We just got married but I can't wait to see how everything turns out!

Julie Hipkins with Originations Photography is the best! We found her because friends of ours used her for their wedding and they highly recommended her. We met for coffee in Frederick and by the end of that meeting we had signed a contract, something very out of the norm for us as a couple. However, we just felt comfortable with her and it felt right. I have never regretted it. We took our engagement shots with her as well and have received nothing but compliments on them and judging by the 5 sneak peak pictures she has sent us, our wedding photos promise to be even more stunning. She is great at working with partners of different heights (I am 5'4" and my husband is 6') and finding flattering shots for different body types. She is also adept at wrangling large families for those group shots! Her rates were very affordable and we were able to bring a second photographer for our entire amount of time for less than what other photographers were charging for one person for less time! Her work is worth every penny and I can't wait to see the rest of my wedding photos and pick out our favorites to frame around our house!

Julie is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. From the first time I spoke to her on the phone, I felt like she was a friend instead of someone I was hiring to photograph my parents 50th Anniversary. Her pictures were amazing and she turned them around quickly. I cannot say enough good things about her. If you are looking for a photographer, look no further, Julie is the best. You will not find a better photographer!

Julie is very easy to work with. She made the formals quick and easy and stayed out of the way for the rest of the evening. She was very flexible about taking photos different family member wanted. I would definitely recommend her. Our engagement photos were beautiful. I can't wait to see the pictures from the big day!

Julie is amazing! She is one of those photographers who doesn't get in the way of your guests view nor in the way of you enjoying your wedding. We barely knew she was there during the ceremony and reception, but she managed to get some amazing pictures.

Value - Excellent! Her price was less than other comparable vendors, and she gave us a discount because we worked with a videographer (Making Memories) that she recommended. One of the nicest things was the proof book, which is extremely professional (hardback) and delivered in an ornate cloth bag. We had access for 3 months online for our pictures, but we decided to purchase the CD-ROM containing all the shots.

One tip - work with Julie ahead of time for an engagement session. This allows you to get to know how she works and her to get to know how you pose and behave in front of the camera. I think this was key to getting the best poses, smiles, and experience on the day of the wedding.

We had a fantastic experience working with Julie for both our engagement and wedding photos! On the day of the wedding, we had both a Hindu and a Western ceremony, as well as our reception. That's a LOT of pictures in one day, but Julie was professional and fun throughout the entire process. Julie is wonderful! She did our engagement photos and our wedding. She is so great to work with...even when having to deal with a bunch of groomsmen who weren't into having their picture taken. She was able to lighten them up. I highly recommend Julie!

We received our photographs in a timely manner as promised, and the prices were so incredibly reasonable. We couldn't have been happier. Julie was great to work with. She met with us prior to our wedding and went over exactly what types of photos we were looking for. She was also very flexible the day of the wedding, and that was a big help to us!

Her pricing is much more reasonable than several other photographers that we looked at, and I was very happy with the end product. I would definitely recommend Julie to other brides!

Julie did a wonderful job. She took pictures for our destination wedding and our separate reception, made the invitations for our reception and put together our albums. Everything was very organized and well explained. She answered our questions promptly. The pictures and albums turned out wonderful!

Julie was wonderful! I've been to weddings where the photographer stops the couple in the middle of something important, like cutting their cake, so that they can pose for a picture. But Julie was able to take beautiful pictures in the moment and remain in the background. No fake poses! She made the transitions for family and bridal party pics smooth and kept everyone organized so I didn't have to worry about it. I would highly recommend her!!!

Our wedding pictures that were taken were way beyond my expectation. The quality of the pictures and service that we received were excellent. There is always so much planning that goes into a wedding and the last thing you want to think about is the way the pictures are going to turn out from such a big day.

Originations handled all the photography for my wedding and I couldn't have been more impressed. The pictures were of the highest quality and my husband and I were thrilled with every single picture. Julie was creative with the pictures she took while still including all of the traditional pictures we hoped to have. She truly captured every moment of the day. She was wonderful to work with and was early for every event. She was also able to work with everyone in my family and they have all decided to use her for their own photography needs. I highly recommend Originations for your wedding plans. Using this company was the best decision I made in my wedding planning.
