Working with Megan was truly a dream come true for us both! Photography to us, like many others, was the most important piece of our day. When looking through a list of photographers portfolio’s my husband and I looked individually and both new immediately Megan was our photographer. Her ability to make us feel comfortable, and creativity with her photos was exactly what we wanted! She truly goes the extra mile to get a great shot and we loved getting to sneak away in moments during our ceremony because of an idea she had for a great shot! Our engagement shoot was magical and we cannot wait to get some wedding photos back soon!!

Megan was the absolute best photographer we could have dreamed of having to capture our wedding day! From the first email to our engagement photo’s, up until our wedding day, Megan kept in communication with us and really took the time to learn about us and our vision for what we wanted photographed on our big day. Her work is absolutely beautiful! Every single one of our wedding photos are stunning. You won’t be disappointed with Megan’s flawless photography and her down to earth personality. Studying photography in my undergrad, finding the right photographer for our wedding was very high on the priority list. I initially found Megan from doing a Google search of our venue and seeing what photographers had worked there before. From the first conversation I had with Megan, I knew she was the person for us. She had a wonderful balance of professionalism and relatability. We first met her when we did our engagement session in Shenandoah National Park. I cannot emphasize how helpful it was to have that session. We got to have fun hiking around the park, while also getting to know Megan better and building the relationship leading up to our big day. Not to mention the gorgeous photos that came out of that day! When planning for the engagement session and for our wedding day, Megan was responsive and available to help with ideas and providing valuable feedback from her experiences. Our wedding was a brunch wedding, which came with it’s own challenges of an early morning and tight schedule. Megan showed up on time and ready to take on the day. She was instrumental in keeping things on track and capturing the images of our day while also managing to keep my husband and I smiling the whole time! It was really a wonderful experience working with Megan and I know we will be working with her again! -

Megan did such an outstanding job with our wedding photos. She was professional, but warm every step of the way. I was so impressed with how the album came out! I was really nervous because we weren't able to do an engagement shoot before hand to get used to being photographed and we are generally fairly awkward when it comes to posing. Megan made us feel so comfortable and had such a great eye for how to pose us in ways that were flattering. She went above and beyond what i had expected. She met us for coffee to go over details and look at the venue and then showed up early the day of the wedding to make sure everything was ready to go. She was organized and assertive when it came time for family pictures- a huge help given the rowdiness of our crowd. She is all around very talented and runs her business well. I really can't say enough for how pleased i was with how everything turned out. I usually hate most pictures of myself, but I really loved all the pictures from our wedding day. There was a wonderful balance of the beautiful/dramatic shots and some really fun/silly ones. What really stood out to me about Megan's style was how she tried to captured our authentic selves, our personalities and how we truly look in real life. I went through a lot of photographers pages before I hired Megan and saw so much filtering and editing that it didn't look real anymore. Megan took beautiful shots, but they still looked like us. I would 100% recommend Megan for your wedding or event. -
Kelly Sent on 09/04/2018We LOVE Megan! She has a wonderfully artistic eye that allows her to capture beautiful images. From our engagement photos to our wedding, we are so happy with everything. Our family and guests loved her. She made everyone feel comfortable and wasn't overbearing. She capture our day perfectly. Only challenge, I have so many wonderful photos it is hard to decide which to print and frame! This is an excellent problem to have. I recommend Megan to everyone I know. You can't go wrong having Megan capture your special day!

I stumbled across her work looking for photographers and realized she had recently done engagement photos for a good friend. She came highly recommended from that friend. After talking with her, we booked her for engagement/wedding photos. We did the engagement photos in DC and they turned out great. Her communication before the wedding and during the big day was awesome as well. I had some feedback based on our first session which she really took to heart. The day of she arrived early to scout the area and find good spots since it was her first time at the venue. Working with her on the day was awesome - she helped calm your (okay, mostly my) nerves, kept us organized and on-time, was efficient in getting needed photos done, all while having a lot of fun. I think the fun she brings to her work really shows in the photos. We were lucky too that she had some expired film and was willing to experiment with us - the old film photos turned out to be my favorite. They were spectacular. She has a great eye, a great spirit, and does wonderful work. Our photos came back very promptly and we couldn't be happier with them. I even had wedding guests follow up with me after to tell me they loved their interactions with Megan and the warmth and energy she brought when taking photos. Couldn't recommend her more highly. -

Kacie Sent on 10/10/2016I wish there was enough space here for me to write how much my husband and I loved worked with Megan for both our engagement and wedding photos. She was so in tune with our style, and made sure to understand what we wanted the photos to look and feel like. She went above and beyond to do shared Pinterest boards, and with every image or idea I shared, she brought it to life in our two sessions.
Having her as a part of our wedding day was the absolute best decision I made. She took charge to make sure we captured the photos we wanted (family, couple, portraits, etc.), while also remaining flexible enough throughout the day as timing or flows changed.
Megan is dedicated to her craft, and to the people she is working with. She did everything in her power to work with us not only on our creative direction, but also on our budget, timeline and other logistics that we needed to consider. I adored working with her, and will continue using her to capture every beautiful moment in our lives moving forward. -

She was extremely helpful, especially with such short notice on the time frame that I needed the pictures taken and delivered. She worked hard to meet all of my needs and blew my expectations out of the water. My photos came out better then I expected and are absolutely gorgeous and stunning. User2512906 Sent on 01/21/2016Megan was the absolute best. I was a clueless wedding planner and when we first spoke I didn't even know what to ask her. She gave great advice about logistics for making the day run smoothly. We talked through the day together and she asked all the right questions so that we were on the same page on what I wanted and how things would go the day of. It was the perfect combination of giving me guidance but really asking me questions to figure out what I wanted.
Megan was AMAZING the day of the wedding. I am one of those people who feels totally awkward having pictures taken and she made the whole process comfortable and fun. She also kept things moving so pictures did not take forever and ever! She took initiative and was so efficient with the time we had prior to the ceremony. She chose the location for our "first look" and it was so sweet and perfect. I really admired her creativity and "eye" for choosing locations, how to stand for pics, etc. She also captured the most hilarious moments of our reception. I cannot recommend Megan enough, we are so happy we got to work with her!

The pictures and album she provided were beautiful and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. I would recommend her to anyone! -

Jonalyn Sent on 07/05/2015I hired Megan as my wedding photographer because I fell in love with her portraits and decided I wanted to do a boudoir shoot; it was so much fun. She was generous enough to let me use her bedroom and her in-home studio to do the shoot, which was far better than shooting at a random hotel. The lighting was perfect, and the scenery and ambiance of her home made me feel so at ease. I was so comfortable with working with her, and she made me feel so beautiful and encouraged. She always suggested different subtleties in my poses which made all the difference (and made sure to capture the poses I wanted to get which I had pinned to my Pinterest board). If you are looking for someone fun and professional who takes phenomenal photographs, Megan's your choice. -

Besides being easy to reach, quick to respond, so comforting during the (boudoir) photoshoot, the pictures turned out absolutely beautiful!!! I didn't find Megan until a month before my wedding, but had I been getting married any where on the east coast, I would've hired her in a second. I'm keeping her in mind for future shoots, and referring her to all my friends/family! :)
