We had a wedding rehearsal dinner for 30 people . The price was reasonable and the staff was very professional and friendly. We worked with Helen and she was very prompt to respond and flexible while working within our budget. It also has several room options depending on the size of your party.Sent on 05/28/2015

Woo Lae Oak was the venue we used for our Korean wedding ceremony (Paebek) a few days following our American wedding ceremony on 03/24/13. Since I am from MD and my now husband is from NY, we had a reception in MD/VA area and also in NY. The Paebek was for the meeting and greeting of the families.Sent on 04/22/2013
Woo Lae Oak is great for receptions, as they have several party rooms. My parents and I wanted the second floor room, which is generally reserved for a party of 100 or more. However, Woo Lae Oak’s general manager was kind enough to agree to a deal with us that if we had 40 or more guests, their second floor room would be reserved for us. This worked out because we had about 48 guests. The second floor room was well equipped for a ceremony, a slideshow, and had audio equipment, a projector, sound system, and mic.
My father and I corresponded with one of their managers, Suzan. She was very good with emails and I personally had no issues with our communication. However, there was one miscommunication in terms of our food tasting. My father had specified that the family does not eat pork, but this was not accommodated for in our food tasting in one of the dishes. The other dishes that were without pork, however, they did give us very large servings. For a tasting for 4 people, we left the tasting very full, as it felt more like a hearty lunch.
On the day of the event, everything went pretty smoothly. The servers went out of their way to help us set up the cupcakes we had brought in. They also did a great job of setting up the tables and accommodated the dessert table we had brought in with extra plates. The extra tables we had asked for were also provided. In addition, complimentary coffee, teas, and sodas were provided for our event, even though they are usually an extra cost. The food was also set up well and tasty. Suzan took a few pictures at the event and was nice enough to email them to us shortly following the event. I would recommend them for a Paebek/reception.

Suzan and the Woo Lae Oak team did an amazing job at our wedding. Everyone absolutely went crazy for the Korean buffet -- it was truly special to have such a large assortment of incredible food and be able to offer such a feast to our guests. In general, they tend to focus on catering in VA and at their restaurant but they made an exception to work with us at a venue in DC. We had a large percentage of Korean guests and they were very impressed with the food as well. We highly recommend them for your wedding or other catering event.Sent on 06/24/2009
