The Union Street Public House is a venue located in Alexandria, Virginia. In this historic space, couples will be able to exchange their vows in a renovated Colonial warehouse. From its brick walls to its wood beam ceilings, this space will provide you with a rustic backdrop for any size or style wedding you are planning. In historic Old Town, once famous for its seaport, you can can personalize and customize the available spaces to create the wedding of their dreams.
Facilities and Capacity
At the Union Street Public House, there are four event spaces to choose from to host a bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, elopement, ceremony, and reception. The first option is the Grill Room. This space, which is a private dining room, can accommodate large wedding parties as well as after-ceremony events such as cocktail receptions. If you have a smaller wedding party, the George Washington Room would be a great fit. This space is cozy and intimate and has gorgeous architectural features like exposed brick. Lastly, if you are looking for attached spaces, the Regatta and Whiskey Bar offer just that. While these spaces are elegant as is, couples can customize them further to compliment their wedding style. Additionally, couples can enjoy these spaces with up to 125 of their friends and family.

Planning a wedding can be chaotic, but Cheryl's attentiveness made the entire journey incredibly smooth. She was a dream to work with! Her communication skills are top-tier; she was always available to answer our calls, respond to detailed emails promptly, and patiently guide us through the myriad of decisions required for a perfect evening. We always felt informed and prioritized.
On the night of the reception, everything flowed seamlessly from start to finish. The atmosphere at the Public House, nestled right in historic Old Town, was exactly what we envisioned—warm, inviting, and vibrant. The staff were professional and efficient, ensuring every guest felt welcomed and taken care of. Cheryl was present and discreetly managing every detail, meaning my husband and I didn't have to worry about a single thing other than enjoying our celebration.

Could not ask for more!
On the day of the wedding, she did a great job of getting everything set up to the point where we honestly didn't see her that often. Everything just felt like it was running on track (largely due to her helping us detail the itinerary) and provided a huge sense of relief knowing how everything was going to play out.
Would highly recommend as she was very flexible to work with and focused on us celebrating our big day.

I can't recommend USPH highly enough. My husband and I wish we could do the entire night all over again, and we wouldn't change a single thing because it was perfect.
Absolutely amazing venue!
The venue itself was fabulous, too - the food was delicious, the service amazing, and the space beautiful. I was a bit concerned that the dance floor area wouldn't be large enough for the size of our group, but it accommodated everyone perfectly (and a lot of us were dancers)! We were thrilled with how our reception turned out and highly recommend USPH to anyone who is considering a wedding location in Alexandria.
