Real love is a big deal. And for the couples that I have the joy of working with, so is their wedding photography. At the end of your big day, other than that new lifelong partner in crime you’ve hitched yourself to, your photos are all that you get to take with you. Next to the venue, Steph was our first hire for our September 2022 wedding because photos are super important to my partner and me. We were sold on her stunning portfolio and her ability to capture what makes each of her couples so special, but what really sealed the deal for us was our first Zoom chat. She immediately felt like an old friend to us — and our cat even decided to make a rare on-camera appearance to meow hello!
We did our engagement shoot at Sugarloaf Mountain and it was a complete and total blast. My partner and I are extremely awkward in front of the camera (yes, we know everyone says this, but it's true!), so Steph's warmth and sense of humor was so incredibly important in helping us feel comfortable and give us the space to be ourselves. We pulled into a rainy cloud, which could've been a huge bummer without Steph cheering us on and capturing the dreaminess of an early fall rainy day. By the time we got up the mountain, the cloud had cleared and the sky looked like it was on fire. It was truly the wildest sunset we'd ever seen and I'm so incredibly grateful that we had Steph there to capture the joyous color — and gawk at nature truly showing off — with us.
We really can't recommend Steph enough and can't wait to have her there to document and celebrate our wedding day!

She offers two simple packages, both of which include an engagement session, 2 photographers, 8 hours of coverage, a website with easy to access and downloadable photos. Stephanie is personable, makes you feel at ease and took AMAZING photos of our wedding!! I loved how responsive and accommodating she was and how easy it was to work with her. She captured a wide range of photos- posed, as well as candids and was so accommodating of requests. She was timely, responsive and so sweet! Steph is an absolute delight to work with! The moment I saw her work on her website, I knew Steph had the vision and vibe we wanted for our wedding. Every call we had with her was easy and fun, and that's exactly how I'd describe our wedding day, too. Steph has a keen intuition; she knows exactly how to make you smile, laugh, and pose (I'll never forget my now-husband softly whispering "bacon" into my ear based on one of Steph's prompts), yet also knows when to give you private moments alone to simply soak in the experience of your wedding day.

Memories of our wedding full of warmth, love, and color
We decided we wanted to hire Steph for both our engagement and wedding photography almost immediately after meeting her. Aside from being a talented artist, she is a wonderful person who has a knack for making you feel comfortable even when you are generally super not comfortable being photographed. We had so much fun every time we worked with her!
Steph has amazing ideas and shares them generously; for example, she suggested an engagement shoot with us and our dog on one of her favorite mountaintops in Shenandoah. The beautiful photos she took that day are now on display all around our apartment. That shoot is a great example of how much thought she puts into her work: she picked a trail which was close to a parking area (so we wouldn’t be too sweaty, even on a hot summer day), had a shelter close to the summit (so we could change our clothes with some privacy), and offered beautiful views of the Shenandoah valley. She brought the same enthusiasm, organization, and thoughtfulness to her work on our wedding day. We met in advance to discuss all of the logistics we could think of, and plenty that only Steph did! The end result is photography that radiates warmth and love in every shot, and we couldn’t be happier.

Absolutely amazing experience!
Steph is the best photographer we have ever worked with. In the last four years, she has photographed our engagement session, our Covid wedding, our big wedding, a just because we felt like it session, and our newborn session. The pictures are spectacular and Steph is such a pleasure to work with. The children in our wedding photos had the biggest smiles because of her and she makes everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I got many compliments from my wedding party and several guests who said how wonderful and hard working she was. I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone who asked.

Hire Steph, She Makes Being Engaged & Getting Married Even More Fun
Steph doesn't just capture beautiful photos, she makes your entire wedding day calmer, more enjoyable, and more fun. Steph absolutely goes above and beyond, and she doesn't so because she genuinely wants you to have a fantastic wedding day- not just as related to your photos. She is extremely proactive, organized, and responsive, and thinks about the bigger picture of your timeline and event flow in general as well. Steph even went in person to the Jefferson Memorial before our wedding day to ensure that construction wouldn't be a problem for our bridal party, and once she realized it wasn't an ideal setting she took care of finding a new location for our bridal party photos the morning of the wedding without having to even get me involved. No stress, all calm, such a pro. She even made sure all the right bags were packed for the bus, and put in the right place, and took care of all the logistical details when our planner wasn't with us. She kept our family photos efficient too, we didn't lose a minute of time. Steph sent us sneak peaks of our photos the next MORNING which was the most pleasant surprise of all after waking up on Sunday before we left for our honeymoon. The photos are full of love and joy, and she was truly our favorite vendor we worked with on our wedding day. All of my friends and family asked for Steph's info and kept bringing up what an asset she was to our day. If you want to hire someone who isn't just in it for the gram but who is in this business to make YOU her top priority, Steph is your gal! 10/10 Recommend.

Stephanie is not only talented, but it's so clear that she has a genuine interest in creating personalized memories that you and your partner will love and cherish forever when she works with you. Stephanie was flexible with us when we had to move our wedding and engagement photo plans around due to Covid, and even sent us a gift on our one year pre-wedding anniversary to get more excited for our day to come. For our recent engagement photos, Steph was extremely prepared in terms of providing us with location recommendations, outfit suggestions, keeping us on a strict timeline, all while making the day so lovely and enjoyable. Her photos capture colors and light in a way that feels genuine and warm rather than washed out or trying too hard to be artistic. She captured the light perfectly, and planned the timing of our photos according to the sunset and weather, and she is just such a warm, loving personality, which is exactly what you want around you in this special time. Steph's a gem, both personally and professionally! So excited to work with her on our actual wedding day, she's been an absolute pleasure!

Not only does she capture those random unforgettable candid moments, she is a JOY to have around especially on a day as full of excitement as your wedding day. Hire. This. Photographer. She is the BEST.
We are so lucky to have found Steph, especially in this time of navigating a public health crisis and throwing a wedding (or not, as it were). Here's why:
Our first meeting with Steph was over video chat, and thanks to our terrible internet connection, her face was frozen in place for the ENTIRETY of our call. You would think that would negatively impact the quality of the call, but no, Steph's personality and warm, invitational style rang through loud and clear, even though she was just a blurry screenshot. We felt supported and like we were being seen for exactly who we were from the get-go.
We next worked with Steph on our engagement photos, and she was really a life-saver. I had gotten makeup done but haaaaated it and was freaking out about not looking like myself for a really important photo shoot. When Steph arrived, she did a great job of helping me make tiny fixes with a huge impact, and reassuring me that in the bright natural light of our outdoor shoot, I would look way more natural than I thought. On the shoot itself, she asked questions and made movement suggestions that really helped us feel at ease, and she managed to document little moments that we didn't even realize she was doing. Steph is great at fading into the background and just letting a couple couple, even when she is the ONLY other person with you at a location!
Our engagement photos were spot on. She caught us on all our goofy, belly-laugh, weirdo moments, as well as some emotional beats that actually took my breath away when I saw them. She summed up the love between me and my fiancee in one perfect shot, and man, does she have the ability to translate her warmth and intuition into photography.
We hope our wedding day happens, but even if it doesn't, we want Steph there to document the major milestones in our life. We wouldn't trust anyone else with holding and documenting our story the way Steph does.
Hire her. Seriously. Right now. She's the one. :-)

Incredible photographer who takes the stress out of the wedding!
If you are looking for an incredibly talented photographer who not only puts you at ease in front of a camera but makes you laugh AND immensely reduces the stress of timing in your wedding day, then choose Stephanie! She has such a great eye for the candid shots that these memories are really all about. My now husband is not at ease in front of a camera but Stephanie’s easygoing personality made him feel right at home, enabling us to get even better pictures. Our wedding day was such a breeze because Stephanie’s incredible skills with timing meant that from when we got on the bus to when we got back to the venue we never once had to worry because her timing of all the sequence of photos was impeccable. The photos came out amazingly well and captured all the moments, and even some we missed! I will continue to look for opportunities to book her as a photographer because she’s just that good.

Best Photographer Ever!!
Stephanie was one of our favorite vendors. She is so fun to work with! We are so awkward when it comes to taking pictures but she made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole day. We knew from the time we met her during our engagement session that we chose the right photographer. Stephanie is super flexible and just rolled with the punches with every hiccup that arose and through it all, she made sure that all the pictures she took would turn out wonderfully. Obsessed with our photos.
The first time we met Steph, we felt like she was an old friend. We hired her after the first meeting – we just knew – it felt like we had met our soulmate in a wedding photographer. Fast-forward to 1-month post-wedding, we still love her like family. She is responsive, caring, and stress-free: something you need on your special day! Steph captures your heart and soul in the photos she takes. The colors are very “real” and somehow embodies how you’re feeling that day. This is how we wanted to remember our engagement and our wedding day – those exact feelings. Every time we look through our engagement and wedding photos, the feelings are overwhelming as it takes you back to that day and that time in your life. Needless and we’ll let the pictures speak for themselves: we are obsessed with our wedding photos. Steph is fun-loving and easy to work with. She has a great smile, great laugh, and makes you feel comfortable doing unnatural walks/poses. She was a huge part of our wedding day (obviously) but it didn’t feel like she was just the photographer – her heart and soul was in it. We used Stephanie for our engagement photoshoot recently. Steph was AMAZING, she is so personable, easy to talk to, made us laugh -- she felt like family and we had just met! My fiance and I are not very comfortable in front of the camera but Steph made our photoshoot a ton of fun and it was so relaxed. She had our pictures to us with in 4 days of our shoot and they were incredible. Best photographer ever!
We had a wonderful experience with Stephanie! So many people told me that you not only want a photographer that gets amazing shots, but you also want someone who you actually like because you will be spending a lot of time with them during the wedding day. I felt so incredibly lucky that we were obsessed with our photos, but also that we loved Stephanie! She was easy going, had a good sense of humor among the chaos, was completely on her game with timing, and captured what we were looking for. I had to fight with my now husband to snag her because she was slightly over our budget, and I am SO happy I did. She's the best!
We had the pleasure of working alongside Stephanie at a wedding in September of 2017. Stephanie was an absolute joy to be around and work with. Her willingness to work together (she was the photographer and we were the videographers on this day) and ensure that the couple was well taken care of on both of our ends was amazing. Stephanie worked with us to ensure that we were able to have time with the couple to get our footage for their film throughout the day without question. We even had a Google Hangouts call with Stephanie weeks before the wedding to game plan on the timeline and our angles to capture the necessary photographs/footage for the day.
