Wedding Photography in Washington

Villa is AMAZING!!! We are so glad she is our wedding photographer. From our engagement shoot, we felt so comfortable with her. She has so many ideas to cooach us through. It felt easy and fun!! Leading up to the wedding, she was intentional about the timeline planing so we have time to capture the photos we want. She also brough her only paper collections for detail photos. Villa remained warm, kind and professional. We loved the final wedding gallery on so many levels! You will not regret working with Villa!!!

When my now-wife first sent me a link to Sokolov Photography's vendor page, I guess I wasn't sure what to expect - the photos looked amazing, but then again, so did pretty much every other wedding photo I've seen. It wasn't until our first call with Serge that I realized how important it is to have a photographer who ~gets your whole deal~. As a couple of weirdos more interested in skulls and blades than hearts and flowers, our goth wedding was about as nontraditional as it gets, so it was crucial that the photographer documenting the most important day of our lives was on the same page. Well, we had absolutely nothing to worry about! We vibed with Serge pretty much immediately, and he completely understood what we were going for. Rather than do an engagement photoshoot we instead had him shoot the rehearsal dinner/Halloween party, and he absolutely killed it with dozens of amazing photos of everyone's costumes. On the day-of, Serge and his partner Aspen showed up ready to roll and despite being given little in the way of instructions, they already knew where to be and what to do. They did a fantastic job corralling our families for all the important shots (which was not easy, I had like 30 people on my side alone) We got the first look photos in only a week, and even then we were already blown away - even the cover photo of the album captured me and my wife's vibe perfectly. The full photoset was nothing less than incredible and more than surpassed our expectations! Even though we were obviously the stars of the show, we really, really appreciated that they managed to get fantastic shots of pretty much every single one of the ~100 guests; we can't wait to include our favorites in the thank-you cards! We truly could not have asked for better photographers - in addition to being total professionals, Serge and Aspen were also cool as hell and a delight to hang out with, and their enthusiasm really showed in the photos. You two are the absolute best, and we are eternally grateful for your hard work in capturing the most important day of our lives!

Stephanie was an absolutely amazing photographer for our wedding! She was incredibly easy to work with and always made sure we felt comfortable. We had a fair amount of photos to get through in a short time period, and she kept everyone on schedule and organized. If you need a photographer for your wedding and/or engagement photos, I highly recommend Stephanie!

Marcus was incredible to work with! We loved his unique yet classic style and were especially drawn to his amazing use of lighting. The most valuable pieces of advice we received when searching for a photographer was to choose based on personality, which is so important since you spend so much of your day (and the most emotional moments) with your photographer. Marcus had us instantly comfortable in front of the camera for both the engagement and wedding photos. He scheduled multiple check-in calls to walkthrough the timeline, family photo lists, and every detail, which made the day seamless. Our guests went out of their way to compliment Marcus for his great energy, presence, and commitment - incl joining on the dance floor capturing it all. Marcus also brought together the dream team - recommending our wonderful videographer (Grayter Memories) as well as bringing a fantastic second shooter, Nick Sullivan. While pricing wasn’t our deciding factor, we appreciated how affordable Marcus was compared to others we researched. We never had to sacrifice anything that mattered to us (engagement shoot, 2nd shooter, full-day coverage, etc.), and still received a top-tier, thoughtful, and organized experience from start to finish.

We are beyond grateful for the incredible job Shawne did! From the very first meeting, he made us feel comfortable and confident that our special day was in expert hands. On the wedding day, he was professional, attentive, patient and incredibly talented at capturing every special moment. The photos turned out stunning- beautifully composed, natural, and full of emotions. We couldn’t be happier with the results and will cherish these memories forever. Roman and Kate make an incredible duo as a husband and wife photography team😻​ They truly excel in the art of photography. We were blown away by our wedding pictures - they were absolutely stunning. The attention to detail and the artistic touch they brought to each shot was truly impressive. Everyone who has seen our pictures has been thoroughly impressed with the quality and the care that Roman and Kate put into their work. We cannot recommend them enough🙌🏼​

I don't know what we love more- Nancy or the photos from our special day. I've always felt self-conscious/looked awkward in pics, but I literally can't stop looking at our photos! Nancy was so sweet and professional, and her work is phenomenal!!! She absolutely nailed the nouvelle vague cinematic aesthetic we were going for and captured so many special moments beautifully- even tiny details looked glamorous. I cannot recommend her enough and am looking forward to her capturing our future milestones. I almost hesitate to recommend her because I want to keep her talent all to myself, but she is seriously the sweetest person ever!

Laurie is a wonderful photographer who really knows how to capture those special moments. I couldn’t be happier with our photos. I will definitely use her again for our future photos! 10/10 highly recommended!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this photography couple! We have received so many compliments on our engagement and wedding photos! This couple makes taking photos fun and easy! We had the best time working with them and our guests complimented on how sweet and professional they were!

We used Wendell Powell for my bridal portrait and wedding photos and were beyond impressed with their work. We worked with Doug and he captured our day perfectly! We got married downtown and were unsure of where we wanted to take pictures, Doug planned out a route for us to take from the church to our reception with a number of different locations to take pictures. He found some amazing spots I would have never thought of on my own. I would highly recommend Wendell Powell.
