My husband and I hired Christy early on in our engagement to help with vendor selection and day-of-coordination. It was one of the best decisions we made. We were very tentative in the process (having never planned a wedding before) and it was absolutely invaluable to have someone to check in with and someone who is looking out for you. We really felt like Christy was always "in our corner" which is reassuring because it can all get very overwhelming. She was incredibly responsive, answering any of my "silly" questions during our 16 month engagement. She was a lifesaver during vendor selection, especially with our venue search. We had a hard time finding a venue that felt like "us" and Christy stuck with us for all of the visits until we found one we loved. As for the weekend of the wedding, Christy was hands-down priceless. I can not imagine having to direct people during the rehearsal or worrying about set-up or being a point of contact for other vendors. Christy allowed us to just relax and enjoy the moment. I'm a type-A control freak and even I was confident knowing she was in charge. We couldn't have pulled it off without her. Thanks so much!

Christy is absolutely amazing! She was my hero throughout this whole wedding process. She allowed me to focus on school rather than wedding planning, which is exactly what I needed. She made it possible for me to study during the school year and concentrate on wedding stuff primarily during my vacations. She is the ultimate professional, working well with vendors and family members alike. Despite several crises during the planning, she remained calm and quickly worked to solve the problems.

To start with, Christy found us the most perfect wedding venue ever. We had our hearts set on a cool loft space that ended up falling through right as we were ready to sign the contract. This did not faze Christy, who started researching every site in Boston. She came up with Ginger Park, which is a stunning venue that has excellent food and wine. The site was perfect for us and we never would have known about it if it weren’t for Christy.

Christy found us most of our vendors and she set us up with people who matched our personalities and preferences. We wanted a lot of the details to be non-traditional and Christy made sure that our vendors understood and respected this. It was so helpful to have someone who could fight our battles for us.

Christy did a great job of keeping us within our budget. She made our lives much less stressful by keeping track of the money for us. She did the research beforehand and only sent us information about vendors that we could afford. She was also creative with the money we had, figuring out where we could afford to spend less so that we could splurge on something else.

Christy really saved the day with my dress. Nine days before the wedding, when I suddenly had to find a new dress, Christy rocked. She was on the phone for hours finding bridal salons in Boston that could make me a dress in a week. When she found out I couldn't drive to dress shops outside Boston, she offered to pick my sister and me up and bring us around. It turned out that I didn't need her to do that but the fact that she offered really shows how committed Christy is to her brides.

And on the day of the wedding, Christy was phenomenal. I had literally no stress to deal with other than that of saying “I do”. The only thing I had to worry about was showing up because Christy had the rest covered. She dealt with all the vendors and made sure that everything was in place at the right time. She made it possible for my husband and I to enjoy the wedding, without worry.

In short, I loved working with Christy and recommend her highly.

Christy's balance of personality and professionalism made her an absolute joy to work with throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding. She very quickly tuned in to what my bride and I were looking for, efficiently found the perfect vendors, kept everything under our budget, and allowed us to completely enjoy what turned out to be the perfect day. I wish we could hire her to plan the rest of our lives!

We hired Christy from CAKE Weddings for day of coordination (DOC) for our wedding in August 2010. I should mention that I was very "on the fence" about whether or not we would need a DOC since our wedding was relatively small. But since we were planning this all ourselves, we really wanted someone to take care of things so that we wouldn't be stressed on our wedding day. Turns out Christy was *amazing* and she performed above and beyond what I expected! I am SO glad we hired her and having her was more than worth the cost!

Since we only hired her for the day of, I wasn't expecting to interact much with her before the wedding. But she met with us a few times to make sure we were on track with our planning and she provided a lot of helpful advice along the way. This was really helpful and reassuring, since I've never planned an event before, it was really nice to have an expert keep us on track.

Two weeks before the wedding, I had my first crisis. I had booked a hair stylist months before the wedding, and 2 weeks before my big day, we had an issue and I suddenly needed to replace her. I needed someone who could come to the hotel, do hair for 4 people, and hopefully wouldn't cost more (mainly because I didn't want it to be too expensive for my bridesmaids). I started calling around frantically, but *everyone* was booked! I even started calling salons and they were all booked too! Panic stricken, I emailed Christy to see if she could help. She wrote back within hours saying she might have a lead and she'd get back to me. Within 2 days, she found me someone *amazing* and set up a trial for me. She even negotiated to have her match my prices. Christy seriously saved the day.

The week before the wedding, we had our final meeting with the hotel. Christy came and she was in charge, making sure everything was planned out perfectly. This was also really nice because at this point, I was so stressed I couldn't really think straight. So having her take charge just made me feel so much better.

The day of the wedding, Christy and her wonderful assistant Erica performed wonderfully. They kept us on schedule, handled any issues we had, and really took care of every little detail so that my husband and I could just enjoy the day. Hiring Christy was one the best decisions we made! She was fantastic and went far above and beyond what we expected! I'm so thankful to her and Erica for their wonderful work!

I should also mention, our photographer Leah (who I also love), specifically mentioned what a great job Christy did when working with her as well. She really interacted well with all our vendors and I know everyone appreciated it!

My wife and I and hired Christy (from C.A.K.E. Weddings) to be our day-of coordinator for our wedding in August 2010. At first, we wondered if having a coordinator would be worth it, seeing that our wedding venue was going to provide us with a hotel employee who would see us through our day. In retrospect, we are so thrilled that we had Christy (and Erica, her assistant). Honestly, we don't remember seeing the hotel person very often, but we remember seeing Christy every moment throughout our day!! She was dressed professionally in a dark suit and always carried a binder full of information such as vendors, wedding party members, our timeline, and all information relevant to our wedding. Christy kept the pace of our wedding ontime down to the minute! We've been to some weddings where schedules get off-track significantly. But thanks to Christy, our wedding started on time, and all scheduled events started within five minutes of their scheduled start times! It was pure clockwork, and hiring Christy was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Even if your venue is providing a contact person to help coordinate your day, we think that having Christy to guide you through the process is in invaluable asset. Christy was so helpful leading up to and the day of my wedding. She was so responsive and reminded me of things I needed to do leading up to the wedding. She contacted all my vendors beforehand to make sure everyone was on the same page. Christy has such a professionalism and knowledge for wedding planning and it will only grow. Christy is so easy to work with and always asks for your opinion first before doing anything. I really liked the timeline that Christy provided for me and the wedding party for the day of the wedding. I also liked the forms that she sent out to me with all of the vendor information on it. That way she was in touch with them and I did not have to worry about someone not showing up the day of the wedding. It made things that much easier for everyone. She made my life less stressful and I did not have to worry about anything on the day of my wedding. All I had to do was enjoy myself and my wedding day. C.A.K.E. provided me with valuable tips and information to help me coordinate some of the most challenging and stressful items on my list! Christy was very professional and introduced me to planning tools that I never knew existing.

Christy was amazing and truly pulled me through the last of my wedding details. I had a year engagement and a very opinionated groom and was feeling very overwhelmed! When the last of the details needed to be finished and organized Christy was my saving grace. She had the extra energy and excitement that I was depleted of. She was a wealth of knowledge. She answered all of my questions (no matter how trivial) and provided me with a customized check list putting my mind at ease that nothing was forgotten. She helped me create a beautiful candy buffet for our guests by showing me photos, finding me the best candy wholesalers, and asking me the right questions to execute my vision. Her experience and knowledge of vendors was invaluable. She checked availability and arranged a meeting with an amazing videographer within minutes of us mentioning we were thinking we would like our wedding on a DVD. She even got us a discount! She always was prompt at answering my emails or phone calls and was a great support for finishing all the things left on my "to do" list! I am totally relaxed and enjoying my last few weeks of the summer before the big day!

Christy saved my wedding!

My friends call my wedding the "Lemonade" wedding, because Christy turned lemons into lemonade. We planned our wedding at the Marshfield Fair/Demolition Derby (that was where my fianc� and I had our first date). Due to an unexpected and unusual tropical storm, The Marshfield Fair and the derby were cancelled. If that wasn't enough, the tent that Christy spent the day decorating and preparing, flooded 2 hours before the wedding. Christy was able to leverage all the relationships she made at the Marshfield Fair to secure a roof (awesome barn), a food vendor (all the other vendors left), and an army of gracious Marshfield Fair personnel who were excited to help her transform the barn into what I think was the best wedding venue ever. The wedding and Christy were even covered by The Boston Globe (http://www.boston.com/lifestyle/relationships/articles/2009/09/02/a_wreck_of_a_wedding/).

Not only did Christy save my wedding, it would never have even gotten to the point of saving without her. About 3 weeks before the wedding, I realized I bit off way more than I could chew, and I needed help. I intended to plan the wedding by myself. Why not? I'm an organized person...I should be able to handle it. NOT TRUE. No matter how smart/organized/together you think you are, planning a wedding is difficult. For one thing, while you might be industrious and orderly, there is a huge possibility that the vendors you choose (despite your investigatory skills) won't be as disciplined. Vendor babysitting and hand-holding is sometimes a necessity, and it's not easy. I was dealing with 8 vendors, and I couldn't do it, but Christy could. Thank goodness our paths crossed.

Christy coordinated and managed all 8 vendors. She became the logistics contact for my bridal party and family, making sure they were all updated on schedule changes and procedures (who stands where/ says what/ does this and that). She orchestrated the pre-wedding practice, the ceremony and the reception. And what I am most grateful for, is that she shielded me from problems, eliminating them before they ever got to me. I was able to enjoy the wedding, and I think my wedding was the best wedding ever!

What amazes me is Christy's ability to juggle everything with a smile on her face. Her demeanor is comforting and calm, and she is able to quell the "bad-tempered" vendors and get what her bride needs. I always felt that Christy's goal was to protect me from unnecessary anxiety, and she did just that. I was lucky to have Christy take care of me and my wedding.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd hire Christy starting on day 1.

My wife and I wanted a really unique wedding experience which was fun, quirky, and reflected our personalities. We weren't going to have all the bells and whistles of a standard wedding. I thought it would be simple. I thought it would be easy. I was wrong.

Several weeks before the wedding we were overwhelmed. Both my wife and I have full time jobs and couldn't expend the time and effort to fully plan the event. The tension was getting to us and we were getting worried and bickering about stupid things. Fortunately my wife was wise enough to get help and hired Christy.

I was impressed by Christy at our first meeting. We described what we wanted and where we were in the process. She quickly understood our wants and needs. The detailed questions she asked both highlighted her keen understanding of what is involved in planning a wedding, much of which, I wasn't even aware of. Most of all, she left us with the impression that we were in capable hands.

Over the next few weeks she adeptly coordinated all the vendors and made all the arrangements while keeping us in the loop. About 48 hours before our outdoor wedding at the Marshfield Fair, it looked like we were going to get hit with a tropical storm. Christy helped us organize our back up plans. However, 2 hours before the wedding, the tent, which had weathered the storm all day, became hopelessly flooded. Our first bus load of guests were ready to depart and our planned venue was washed out. Christy kept her cool and worked with the owners of the fair to get access to a barn. During the 40 minute ride over to the fair, she managed to transform a barn into a wedding hall leaving us time to spend with our guests and to take wedding photos.

The rest of the wedding went off without a hitch, and I have to say it was one of the most fun nights of my life. It was just the kind of wedding we wanted: quirky, fun, and memorable for all of us. There is no question in my mind that the Christy saved our wedding. She didn't do it alone, no one could. However I don't know anyone else who could delegate, organize and execute so adeptly.

I have only one regert: not hiring Christy from day 0.

Christy helped me plan a 30th surprise party at a venue in Boston. She took the time to research all of the potential venues, and what extra services the venues would offer. She also came up with the engenius story to get the guest of honor to the party. This was THE biggest challenge of the whole planning process. She also came up with some great centerpiece ideas. I couldn't have pulled this off without her!
