When we first decided to have our ceremony and reception at two separate locations, and eventually realized we would be working with around ten different vendors, I didn’t fully understand how essential an experienced day-of coordinator would be until late in the planning process. Looking back, I’m so grateful I had the foresight to book with MB Events.

I worked with Caroline, and she was truly my rock on our wedding day. She communicated clearly and consistently and brought such a calm, genuine presence that immediately put me at ease. We had a few last-minute changes with some guests who were unable to attend while another one was added at the last minute. Caroline handled everything by coordinated directly with the venue to remove chairs and add name cards without needing any prompting from me.

I was extremely stressed leading up to the wedding, but in hindsight, I really didn’t need to be. Caroline had everything completely under control!

We met four times before the wedding: an initial Zoom meeting, another Zoom call about three months out to review the timeline and vendors, a venue walkthrough, and the rehearsal. She was incredibly detail-oriented and always thoughtful in her approach. It was so helpful to have a professional to bounce ideas off of, and she often raised considerations I hadn’t even thought of. I truly felt like she was my safety net throughout the process.

Caroline planned everything down to the minute while remaining flexible and when changes came up. I never once felt rushed, and I appreciated how down-to-earth and approachable she was. Our wedding day came together so well, and I genuinely believe MB Events was the cornerstone that made it all happen.

Marissa was truly the best decision we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond. From finding the perfect vendors, coordinating with them on every detail, to creating the most seamless timeline for our day. Marissa and her team were so professional and communicative the day of our wedding. I felt so supported by them and felt like they could be my “brain” the day of so that I could just relax. They also went out of their way to drive and do a venue walkthrough with us which helped us mentally prepare and confidentially make decisions for the day. Our venue coordinator really did not do much at all for us, so thank goodness we hired her. On top of all of this, she is warm, calm, a cool! Hire them!

Working with Marissa, Doug & the MBE team was truly the best investment we could have made for our wedding day! We booked MBE back in January 2024 for our June 2025 wedding for partial planning & day-of coordination. Throughout the planning process, Marissa was my ROCK, making sure we stayed on track with booking vendors, creating a mood board for our day, budgeting, sending out save the dates and invitations, and taking all the necessary steps for a perfect day. Alyssa, MBE’s graphic designer, created our save the dates and invitations and was so amazing to work with, too!

All our prep work led to the most perfect and seamless wedding day. The MBE team took care of EVERYTHING, flawlessly bringing our vision to life in just a couple hours. Thanks to the MBE team, everything was absolutely perfect and we were able to have stress-free morning getting ready with the bridal party. My husband and I frequently find ourselves looking at each other and exclaiming, “we had the perfect wedding.” And we did, it was perfect in every way we could have imagined. I’m certain that we wouldn’t be able to say that if we hadn’t worked with MB Events.
For context, I didn’t want a wedding. I wanted to elope because it would be easy and I just wanted to be married, but my husband encouraged me to consider an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family on his parents’ property. He also insisted on getting a wedding planner to make this as stress-free as possible for both of us (he’s a gem and that’s why he’s my husband).
We talked to several wedding planners, but when we got off the phone with Marissa from MB Events, I immediately said “she’s the one.” Marissa was the only planner we talked to who asked about our story, our families, and our feelings right off the bat. She listened to us and gave us frank, honest advice about planning a “backyard wedding” (spoiler: it takes a village). I was truly starry-eyed while talking to her because she is the epitome of calm confidence.
Now, this land needed some serious TLC… I remember when MB Events first came to look at the property, it was hard for any of us to imagine how we could turn it into our wedding venue, but Marissa saw through the wild overgrowth and created the loveliest vision that we never would have thought of without her help. It was the spark that motivated us to make this work.
We didn’t really know what we wanted this wedding to look like, only some vague ideas: warm and whimsical, like a garden party with lots of light and color. We shared Pinterest boards with a wild mix of inspiration, and she was able to sift through all our ideas to nail down a theme that considered who we are as individuals and as a couple.
Planning a wedding on family land requires a lot more thought and effort than a wedding at a venue. You need to consider things like bathroom trailers, weather protection, parking, and countless other things that were not even close to the front of our minds. MB Events thought of everything – this was clearly not their first rodeo. Marissa put together floor plans, mood boards, and schedules detailed down to the minute. She held our hands through every step of the process, kept in contact via call and text, and sent us reminders to be sure that nothing was forgotten. We took all her recommendations without question, including her vendor recs (which are top tier, btw), and I’m so glad we did.
There are no words to adequately capture how incredible our wedding turned out to be. It all came together seamlessly, and we’ve been so humbled by the number of compliments we’ve received from our guests. But the best part for us was not having to worry about a single thing the entire wedding day. Knowing MB Events had everything handled gave us the peace of mind to be fully present (especially on the dance floor), and that is a gift that we will be forever grateful to them for. It’s priceless.
At the end of the night, we exchanged tearful goodbyes; it feels like we’ve known them for ages instead of a year. It’s so obvious that they love what they do. Their love, care, and authenticity radiates. We cannot recommend MB Events enough; we can say confidently that our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and considering one of us didn’t want a wedding in the first place, we think that’s saying something. 10/10 would renew our vows just to do it all over again.

Marissa and her team are punctual, organized, and detail-oriented. I had a good amount of decor that I was bringing in to my venue, which the venue did not allow me to drop off prior to our wedding day. Marissa and her team were kind enough to take all of our decor the night before our wedding for us so we didn’t have to worry about it. This was a huge help and took a lot of potential stress off my plate.

Marissa kept in touch in the weeks leading up to our wedding ensuring we had the day-of timeline solidified so that I would not have to worry about anything day of, and she did not miss a beat. I was so happy to have them there with us starting at the rehearsal, all the way through the end of the night where they packed up all of our décor in a neat, organized, and careful way (we had many glass candles and other fragile décor), so that we would not have to worry about packing anything up and we could head off to our after party. They were amazing, and so helpful the entire day through.

We truly felt so special and cannot thank Marissa and her team enough. We could not have done this without them and we are so incredibly thankful.
