As mother of the bride I found the Sawyer Room and especially the owners, Jody and Eric very personable, helpful and professional. Eric and Jody not only honored the contract we sign but went beyond to make this wedding perfect.

The were the voice of calm when the rest of us were going crazy. The Sawyer Room was decorated beautifully and Eric is a perfectionist which is needed for that day.

Eric and Jodie are some of the most amazing people that My wife and I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The truly make it to were the bride and groom have nothing to worry about. They did in my opinion the majority of the work involved in the wedding process they went out there way to make sure everything we needed got taken care even as far as driving the bridesmaids to location for the photos sat and waited to make sure everyone got back safely and on time. They have assembled what I believe to be the best vendors list here in Kansas City Making it to were you don't have to look to find the best as they have done it for you. It was a gift to work with such an amazing people to make our special day truly SPECIAL! They worked closely with both my wife and I and all of the vendors we had choosing to make sure everything went as planed with no issues. ( and if there were any no one ever knew ) On top of that they have the most amazing venue here in Kansas City as we had looked at close to thirty. They made it seem so simple, as we all know how stressful planing a wedding can become but I don't feel that we really encountered as much stress as some of our friends who had recently gotten married. I feel that Eric and Jodie were a big part of not having that added stress especially the day of the event! If you are looking for and indoor very elegant room to get married in than you should really look no further this is the BEST place around.

Eric and Jodie have definitely found their calling. The reception space itself is beautiful, but made even more special by the two of them. I did not know much about wedding planning but knew I did not want to be running around the day of my wedding. Eric and Jodie coordinated everything. I had vendor delivery and pick up times scheduled well before the wedding, and Eric and Jodie made sure of it. That made for a stress free day. When I first walked into The Sawyer Room on my wedding day I was blown away. It could not have been more perfect. They made sure everything that night went flawlessly, or at least as far as we were concerned. My husband and I were definitely catered to and felt like royalty. I had asked them the first night we looked at the space if anyone had eaten dinner on the balcony, and could that be something we could do? They said no one had but they would be willing to set that up for us. That was the best thing they could have done. That time between my husband and I was so special... our first meal together and then looking down and seeing all of our friends and family gather there for us. It is definitely something I recommend to future brides and grooms. Beyond that Eric even went out of his way to pick up pizza we had ordered for a late night snack. I kept in contact with them through the planning process and they answered any questions I had. My maid of honor flew in from out of town one weekend and Eric made time to meet us downtown so I could show her the space. I am so grateful to the both of them! I have tried to think about any complaints I would have had, but the only one I can come up with is that the night had to end.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Sawyer Room on 12-1-12. It really was the best day of our lives! Eric and Jodie did a wonderful job of making sure everything ran smooth. It went off without a hitch. We met with them when deciding where to have our reception and a couple other times as well. They were very helpful from the start. I had a ton of questions throughout the year of planning and Jodie always replied in a timely manner with helpful advice. They were flexible and assured us many times, whatever we needed/wanted they would be sure to make it happen and they certainly did. I wouldn't change a thing about the entire day! We strongly recommend their services. Well worth the money. We also used the vendors they recommended: DJ Fernando, Joe and Lora Devine Photography, and Garozzos catering. The music was great, the photos are beautiful, and the food was delicious!

The best there is! Eric and Jodie were the most professional, pleasant, and joyful people to work with. They made sure our night went off without any problems. We had no worries at all when we arrived at The Sawyer Room. We definitely recommend them!

The Sawyer Room is an experience. If you are looking for a classic, old-style look for your wedding this is the place to have. It is stunningly beautiful and my guest continue to compliment me on how beautiful our reception was. The owners, Jody and Eric, make you feel so comfortable with the entire process. The only issue with the flexibility is with the alcohol time limitation. The only allow 4.5 hours of alcohol time during your reception and it becomes very difficult to work around. Of course they have good reason to limit time of alcohol consumption but it's definitely one of the downfalls of this beautiful place.

I absolutely loved everything about my experience with the Sawyer Room. From start to finish Eric and Jodie were helpful and professional in demeanor. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location to hold our wedding reception and if I had to do it over again, I would still choose the Sawyer Room.

Jodie and Eric are simply amazing! They took the time to explain everything to me and I really liked that Jodie responded very quickly to questions over email. The sawyer room was an absolutely perfect space for our wedding reception! The first thing you'll notice is how beautiful the room is. It almost felt like we didn't need a florist with how gorgeous the ceiling, windows and atmosphere is. There is even a balcony for a bride and groom's intro. T
hat said, Jodie and Eric who own the room are the ones who make it so special. From the moment you sign on, they are there to answer any questions about vendors or wedding planning. They have great tips and suggestions along the way. We called and emailed them with questions about catering, their thoughts on how many invites to send vs how many to expect to come, and more. They were a HUGE help!
The night of the wedding, they were the ones who made the event run so smoothly. It was the small details like organizing our introductions and pulling out my mother's chair before she sat down to eat!! They kept the flow of the night on track by helping us know when it was time to cut the cake/etc. They were amazing!! I would recommend the Sawyer Room to anyone!!

We had our ceremony and wedding at the Sawyer Room June 9th 2012. Eric and Jodie were more then just owners of the venue, they are AMAZING at helping you with planning the exact timeline of the day and getting everything set up. The room looked absolutely stunning set up for the ceremony and throughout the reception! I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful venue to have our wedding. It is worth every penny!!!!

There aren't enough words to describe how happy I am with Eric and Jodie's services throughout the planning of my wedding. They were always professional and responsive to all my questions. They provided guidance on every aspect of my planning and helped me relax knowing that they would take care of everything on my big day. And they did not disappoint. To give just a few examples of how you are getting way more than just a room when you contract with The Sawyer Room, let me tell you how above and beyond Eric went on the day of my wedding. He not only made sure everything flowed smoothly and orchestrated every moment of the ceremony and reception as promised, he made sure I had everything I could possibly need and then some! He was bringing me water to keep me hydrated, one alcoholic beverage to calm my nerves, a fan when I was feeling warm, a chair so I could rest my feet between formal pictures and even took my shoes on and off for me because I couldn't bend in my dress to do it myself! This is so far beyond what I could have asked of anyone but he never made me feel like I even had to ask. He anticipated my every need and met it before I even knew what I needed. Eric even took the time to drive my fiance & I with our photography team to different locations for the pictures and then blocked traffic with his car so we could get the shots we wanted. There is no way I could ever possibly thank Eric & Jodie enough for how special they made my day and how their attention to detail made each moment perfect. After planning this wedding for over a year and all the help they provided along the way, I really feel as if Eric & Jodie have become friends of ours, not just vendors. All of this is just a snippet of the incredible service these two have provided. The venue is the most beautiful place in Kansas City. It is also incredibly affordable and the price they charge is only for the venue, it doesn't even touch the pricelessness of the service they provide. Every bride should be lucky enough to have Eric & Jodie on their wedding day. Thank you SO much for everything!

It's hard to put into words how I feel about the Sawyer Room. The venue itself is not only beautiful, it's owners are as well. Eric and Jodie are wonderful people to work with and really make this venue worth the money. Our guests were wowed by the balcony, the general splendor of the room and the flow from the time they arrived until the music ended. Absolutely the best decision we made in choosing a reception venue. Eric and Jodie go above and beyond to make your night one to remember. They are true to their word, help with anything you need and make sure it is absolutely right (which makes the bride happy)! I highly recommend this location and this team to make sure you have a reception to remember!

When our wedding venue closed down 3 months to the date of our wedding, The Sawyer Room was there and saved us!! They took care of us, step by step, helping us to replan our wedding all over again. From providing a beautiful ceremony and reception location, to actually contacting other vendors we needed to meet with us all together so we could save time, to scrubbing the marinara sauce off the bottom of my dress before our big dance, Eric and Jodie are the nicest, most welcoming people you'd want to meet.
