Located in the heart of Kansas City Missouri, UNION is an industrial-chic, blank-canvas venue full of possibilities. You will love the neighborhood, The Crossroads, where UNION is situated; full of boutique shops, one-of-a-kind restaurants, creative businesses, studios and art galleries that attract thousands of visitors each day.
UNION is perfect for all of your wedding needs – from ceremonies and receptions, to engagement parties, wedding showers, and rehearsal dinners.
Facilities and Capacity
The building that is now UNION was constructed in 1929, and was originally home to a film processing center.The space was refurbished in a way that thoughtfully blends the original building's rustic qualities with contemporary design.
UNION has three-levels, including a fully furnished Speakeasy, and features wood floors, brick walls, and rich, neutral colors. Both ceremonies and receptions can be held at UNION, and the venue is conveniently located near a number of accommodations, restaurants, and more.
UNION can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated reception, and more for a cocktail style event.

UNION welcomes you to choose your own vendors and can provide you with a list of recommended partners.
UNION offers 24 hour rentals so that you can have the venue from 10am on the day of your event to 10am the following day, allowing you plenty of time to set-up and celebrate. Did we mention that UNION is BYOB? So you bring your own alcohol, and we provide the service.
Couples can also choose from a range of decor and services to elevate their celebration – from a photo booth, mobile walls, draping, to a mylar dance floor and more.
Included with the space rental are tables and chairs for 150 of your favorite people, cocktail tables, a fully furnished speakeasy and a client ready room. And UNION is pet-friendly so your favorite fur friend can be part of the celebration as well.
The team at UNION understands how much work goes into a wedding and will strive to create a seamless experience in the lead-up to your big day. You will be provided with a concierge to answer all of your questions about the venue.

Allison, our client concierge, was super organized as we approached the day and made sure we knew any final details about insurance requirements, timelines for load-in and -out, security, and so forth. Clay, our bar manager, was very responsive to questions we had as we decided on our bar menu, and was able to provide helpful suggestions on quantities to buy and how to structure our bar timeline from start to finish. Everyone else we worked with throughout our planning period was friendly and helpful, from the venue managers to the staff present on the day of. Overall, we can’t imagine our wedding having been anywhere else – it was such a dreamy setting and the layout (being able to go between floors for each major portion of the event) was so perfect for the flow of the day.
