I loved our cake from Sweet Memories. The service was fantastic right from the beginning. Our cake tasting was fun and very professionally done. We had a 3 tiered cake with 2 different flavors. It was beautiful and yummy! Our cake was included in the wedding package that we had with the Hilton so I cannot comment on the price. However, we paid a little extra for a third tier and the price seemed reasonable. Definitely recommended.
Sweet Memories made the cake for our wedding, and the cake was delicious! Everyone loved the cake - the design, the flavors! Typically, there's cake leftover at an event, and I was semi-hoping that there would be some leftover for us to enjoy after the wedding. But not with ours! I saw some slices of cake left on the table, but they vanished as people went back for seconds. There wasn't any cake left! My hubby and I took the last two pieces (seconds for us too). Besides a delicous cake, Donna, Danielle, and the whole team was fabulous! Being an out-of-state bride, they were responsive, patient, and guided us throughout the process. They were great, and many thanks to them for a wonderful cake!
i'd like to start by saying that wedding cakes are so gosh expensive ! There are many ways to cut the cost of a cake and they really helped us out on this one. Even though we had a buttercream cake and not fondant it came out fabulous! The cake was simple but stunning. It was also very moist and delicious, our guest loved it!
We had a hard time finding a bakery that would let us design a custom cake for our <75 person wedding. Not only did Sweet Memories work with us, they helped us come up with a lovely and delicious cake. It was absolutely to die for. They are one of the more pricey in the area, but the cake was soooo yummy and beautiful.
We got our wedding cake from this bakery! everyone said they LOVED it. The owner is super nice and decorates every cake with love and attention to details. It was moist, the frosting was delicious and the strawberries in the filling were an added bonus! we got a sheet cake plus our 3 tiered cake and the one sheet cake pretty much fed our crowd of 110 people. If you're looking for a pretty and yummy wedding cake, i'd definitely recommend this bakery!
DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A CAKE FROM SWEET MEMORIES! I ordered a wedding cake with an intricate design from Sweet Memories showroom in Apex. I specifically asked during the consultation if the design could be done in a color other than white. The consultant informed me that there would be no problem creating the desing in another color. Approximately 3 weeks before my wedding, Sweet Memories contacted me asking me what lace design I would like. I was totally bewildered because I had already chosen a design from their showroom. Why didn’t they write it down? After spending quite a bit of time looking through the photos on their website, my fiancé and I found the cake that we had requested. We took a screenshot of the design to be sure that it wasn’t mixed up with any other design. When we arrived at the reception after the ceremony, the cake was setup beautifully with fresh flowers and candles surrounding the display. Unfortunately, the lace design was NOT at all what we requested. Instead of intricate lace, it looked like a kindergartener had drawn starfish all over the cake. Luckily, the cake was not the most important detail to me as a bride, so I was not upset at the wedding. When we returned from our honeymoon we were able to compare photos of our cake to the cake we requested. Not even close! Sweet Memories did not take ownership of their poor quality. Instead they blamed us! They said we shouldn’t have chosen an icing color other than white for the lace. Poor customer service, poor quality. Don’t be fooled.
Outstanding cake! We ordered the white chocolate fantasy and the sweet potato cupcakes and they were both very delicious! The only thing I would have liked help with was displaying them!
We were going to just get a cake from Whole Foods or something but my husband suddenly had the idea for some kind of strange flavors. And he's really quite picky. I found this bakery's website but it was only a few weeks before the wedding. We decided on a lemon cake with raspberry and lemon curd filling and buttercream on the outside. It was incredibly delicious. They would not deliver and they would not decorate it with berries as we asked because they didn't think it would hold up in the car. We had to scramble to get someone to pick it up and I ended up decorating it during the cocktail portion but it was really a wonderful cake and priced very very well (and at the last moment!!!)
Our guests could not stop talking about the FANTASTIC wedding cake that Sweet Memories Bakery created for us. When we first went in for the tasting appointment, we knew this would be our cake baker, because my then-fiance tasted the first one, set his fork down and pronounced that we were done looking because we couldn't beat that. But I had to make sure that they could share my vision - I wanted something unique to go with our travel-themed wedding. Sweet Memories created a beautiful "suitcake" - a cake shaped like suitcases with passports as a topper. Every detail was accounted for! I've got to say I had a little pain in my heart when we had to cut the cake, but it tasted as good as it presented, so we got over it. There's no question in my mind which bakery I'd send brides-to-be to!
Sweet Memories Bakery is simply Delicious! And absolutely Gorgeous!!! The cake was just fabulous and everyone ate all of it, all 5 tiers...leaving hardly any for us, that never happens! We had tira misu alternating with chocolate layered with chocolate ganache, so delicious and what people could not get over, was how BEAUTIFUL the cake was, they specially designed it to match my invitations, so sweet and amazing of them. People couldn't stop taking pictures of it! Thank You Donna & staff!!!
Sweet memories did our groom cake as well as our wedding cake. In both instances, they gave us exactly what we wanted. For the wedding cake, I sent them photographs of what I wanted it to look like and they were able to duplicate it. Their cakes are also VERY good. People that usually do not eat cake where eating these with a smile.
Sweet Memories' cakes are the best that I have ever tasted. We tried other's and they were no where close when it came to taste. In addition to the quality and taste of the cake, their design talent and attention to detail is amazing.
Our cake went above and beyond our expectations. The cake was delicious, guests were raving about it being the best cake they had ever tasted. In addition, the design and detailed icing work was beautiful. They included all of our ideas and really executed the cake wonderfully.
