As soon as I saw Moshe's portfolio online, I knew I wanted him to take our engagement photos and the photos of our wedding. His posed pictures are striking and glamorous. He incorporates DC sites and city streets, which was exactly the look we wanted. Moshe was professional, reliable, and fun, and he was extremely responsive anytime we had a question throughout the months leading up to our wedding. I don't like having my photo taken at all, but his demeanor put me at ease. He was great about finding out from us what we wanted and making that happen, but when we didn't know or didn't have a preference, he guided us in a good direction. He found all of the sites for our engagement photos, which we LOVE, and he referred us to a great DJ who kept us dancing until the end of the night. We had an unconventional wedding (my dress was green; our dogs were the ringbearers; one of my bridespersons was male) and Moshe rolled with all of that and captured it in just the right way. I had one moment where I thought, "I really hope there's a picture of this" -- and as soon as I thought it, I saw a flash go off. Either Moshe or one of the two other shooters he brought caught everything that was important to us. He customized a package for us and I just love the pictures he took. His website says, "I turn brides into fashion models and weddings into photo shoots. You'll feel comfortable in front of the camera and natural in your role as the star of the show" -- all that's true!

It was great to have Moshe as our photographer. I could have not asked for a better experience. He is caring, brilliant, innovative, professional, down to earth, funny and flexible. He really cares about the quality of his work. I was happy with everything from the day we started planning with him (about a year prior to the wedding) up to post wedding follow up and delivering the greatest quality. He is very easy to work with and always has great ideas.

I have had the wonderful pleasure of working with Moshe in both a professional and bridal capacity, and can safely say he is the most talented photographer in DC. I met Moshe when we needed professional stills of our executives during congressional hearings/board meetings. When I saw how glamorous he could make older businessmen look, I knew I had to have him photograph my wedding. In fact, Moshe was the very first decision I made regarding the wedding (aside from my husband of course)-- everything else was secondary.

When I told him that we didn't have a venue picked out yet, Moshe was the one who suggested that we try Woodend Sanctuary based on the fact that we wanted something casual but still elegant. We fell in love with the site immediately and never would have had our wedding there if it hadn't been for Moshe. Throughout the planning process, Moshe was full of useful advice and recommendations.

Moshe insists on conducting an engagement photo shoot a few weeks or months before the wedding. Not only do you come away with gorgeous shots, but as a bride you get accustomed to his style and Moshe gets a feel for what you are comfortable with and how you interact with your spouse. For our engagement shoot, Moshe was incredibly flexible and agreed to spend his day in Baltimore with us.

Moshe also only uses other professional photographers as his second shooters, rather than an assistant. This distinction really shows up in the finished results, as there is no disparity whatsoever in the quality of photos contingent upon which photographer took what pictures. We were so lucky to have Noah Hayes, of Noah Hayes Photography, as our second shooter for both the engagement session and wedding day. Moshe and Noah worked together seamlessly and made an incredible team!

As I didn't have a wedding planner, Moshe proved invaluable on the actual wedding day. He knows all the nuances and customs associated with weddings and was vital in telling my husband and I where to stand, how to cut the cake, how to toss the bouquet, etc. These things seem minor but his suggestions ensured that the pictures turned out perfectly.

From finding our wedding venue, to providing absolutely stunning pictures that we'll cherish the rest of our lives, Moshe is more than a wedding photographer-- by the end of your wedding Moshe becomes a dear friend. We will always look back on our wedding knowing that Moshe was the best decision we made (aside from choosing each other)!

When I first saw his work, I knew I wanted him to do our engagement photos (we lived in DC at the time), but was hesitant on hiring him for the wedding since it was all the way in Austin. My husband and I were thrilled with Moshe's work. His pictures are beautiful and artistic (he does amazing things with color), and during the event he was incredibly professional and inobtrusive. He is also very responsive (he almost always emails you back immediately) and timely (we got the digitals of our wedding photos within a month or so of our wedding). Yes, he's not cheap but I have definitely found that with wedding vendors you pay for what you get, and Moshe doesn't nickel and dime you- he was very generous with his time and went above and beyond what I expected from a wedding photographer. You will not regret hiring him!

Moshe is great! He is a fun guy that makes you feel relaxed and like you've known him forever. He was very responsive to all emails I sent, usually responding within hours. He was also very flexible with his time. He allowed us to do our engagement shoot over two different days. He was at the hotel for the wedding early and stayed late. He was able to post some of the pictures of our wedding to his blog within days. We were able to see them while on our honeymoon. Can't wait to see all the others! Yes, you can find less expensive photographers in the D.C. area, but ask yourself, "Do I want to sacrifice quality for a few dollars on the most important day of my life?" On the flip side, we found others who cost far more, but didn't have the same stunning photos to back up the cost. The only other photographer we'd considered would've cost us more money, and we wouldn't have gotten the rights to our own photographs. One month after the wedding, we had a flash drive with all of our photos on it. I have friends elsewhere who had to wait over a year to get theirs.
